Keywords:
dancing (15)people (19)dancefloor (1)
Description:
Dittie from 1992 after sampling became more mainstream rather than just the early hip-hop artists like the Beastie Boys.

So as not to cause any legal *worries*, I used my own vocal samples.

Being an outdated *time-frame* track - I've done my best to give this mix a different feel/sound.

Lyrics:
INTRO

Wanting in - Wanting out, dance about you
will you dance with me
Wanting in - Wanting out, dance about you
dance with me

V 1

Let me tell you something that I think you should know (dance)
You're walking with the wrong guy, so come down to the music get down on the floor
My feet are restless and you're eyes are shining bright
So let's keep on dancing till the morning light

CH 1

People wanting in - people wanting out, gimme some more room so I can dance about you (dance about me) will you dance with me,
Leave undone what you hesitate to do - it's a lesson to make it right

V 2

Only you could sense alone inside a selfish head, don't count for nothing what is done and what's not said,
Light me a candle for each sentimental year.
But I don't promise nothing special
Don't try to be sincere - don't try to be sincere (yeah)

CH 2

People wanting in - people wanting out, gimme some more room so I can dance about you (dance about me) will you dance with me,
Leave undone what you hesitate to do - it's a lesson to make it right

MID

Give me some time etc.
Make me feel so right

CH 3

People wanting in - people wanting out, gimme some more room so I can dance about you (dance about me) will you dance with me,
Leave undone what you hesitate to do - it's a lesson to make it right

electronic 80s sound &mdash 11/30/07 - 03:33:25 PM
Partially, but a bit more early 90's I hope.

I drove up the bass and cut down the top end (a lot) and boosted the mid.

Glad U like Feter.

Take care.

Graham

Me thinks this might just be a grrrrroover.

APB constructed many of the guitar ideas before he moved away from the studio for job reasons back in the late 80's.

Cheers Steve,

Graham

Top notch singing here... Great writing!!
Im hearing a bit of a hiss, I dont know if it was from bouncing the song,
or my speaker system. Doesnt seem dated to me!!

Cheers Steve A.

All my analog master copies of such material are encoded with either Dolby B, C or S. Compared to the digital domain, preservation on analog (rather than digital e.g. DAT) tape is not ideal. As such, some hiss/hum on such tracks.

I enjoyed doing the vocals and I appreciate all positive/negative/constructive comments.

Long live MacJam's =)

Hey the music hear really reminds me of that stuff Stevie Winwood was putting out, like "Higher Love" ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gdTHa8m1EFo )

You to the touch man, nice vocals.

At that time, indeed, Winwood/Scritti Politti/Simple Minds etc.

Thanks for the YTube link - had not seen that vid before....
