Description:
this old man is a little less broken. Bojangles pulls it together and gets back on his feet. And that's the rest oif the story.
I know people like this. I hope to be someone like this.

Simply excellent; pickin', singing, writing, and the way you built those harmonies. Awesome recording qualities. Nicely done, sir.

Excellent... &mdash 12/03/07 - 05:27:30 AM
Just excellent! So well written, played and sung. I love your lovely clear voice. This is easily on a par with 'Streets of London' and gives a incite into what should inspire us all in our lives. To write such a 'feeling' song says a lot about you. Full of emotion and a 'classic', regards M

My barbershop roots came through in those harmonies. I'm pleased that you dig the tune.

I will be telling my friends &mdash 12/07/07 - 07:05:20 AM
that I wrote this one... Is that OK... really classic story telling and an ageless story indeed... so glad bojangles made it... O love the counterpoint harmonies.. and you've really crafted together a gem here...

some songs really require the lyrics.. this is one of them... I don't want to miss a word

thanx; Scott

lyrics &mdash 12/08/07 - 11:25:10 AM
glad you like it scott.

I remember old man Hawkins
And the way he smiled
the love of God was deep inside him
he must have walked with Him awhile
cause in his eyes shone the light of the Ancient of Days

I met him down in New Orleans
he walked in off Bourbon street
I was bussin' dishes back then
tryiin' hard to get ends to meet
and in his eyes shone the light of the Ancient of Days

I know that heaven is gonna be
a place of rest for men like him
who spend their days here
lending helping hands
and layin down their lives for their friends

I remember he used to tell me
"son it aint an easy road,
sometimes your ever feel like your alone,
when you do you know where to come"

and in his eyes shone the light of
the Ancient of Days

great guitar &mdash 12/26/07 - 01:10:18 AM
I dig the feel of this tune.
The guitar fills are sweet.
The vocal is an intricate part of your sound. Very well sung with such great harmonies and la da da's
The clean recording is very refreshing.
Reminds me of the early and mid 70's when there was always someone playing guitar in a stairwell or a lounge at school...singing some 'Aztec Two Step' or 'Johnathan Edwards'
Your music is great
