Unconcious Vocalist? &mdash 12/04/07 - 07:48:01 AM
...then it must be one of my college-era bands! I was unconcious for many of our sessions, and they sounded a lot like this. Particularly 'Live And Intoxicated', when I passed out over the mixer.

I'd guess the name of the band, but I was unconcious and don't remember what we called it. There was a duck in it, I think.

I kind of like this!

Two ducks I think. &mdash 12/07/07 - 12:40:51 AM
But then that could have been double vision on my part. Fun piece!

Thanks,
Doug

being able to &mdash 01/29/08 - 06:52:07 AM
play/sing while in a state of near unconsciousness is a gift that shouldn't be wasted... and should be a pre-requisite for any aspiring band.
Thanks for dropping by and listening.

My first guess is Pink Floyd Ummagumma &mdash 12/04/07 - 05:26:32 PM
but recorded before Ummagumma when Syd's still in the band but passed out at the time. A bit loose for the boys even then - but whatever Syd had too much of - they had just enough too little of to manage to scratch this out.

i &mdash 12/04/07 - 06:00:34 PM
could not begin to say what this was: pink floyd, early sonic youth?

i recognize this &mdash 12/04/07 - 06:24:00 PM
reminds me of jam sessions we did on many Sunday afternoons in Glastonbury during 1971 and 1972. how did you manage to get a hold of this recording?

(i should mention i mean Glastonbury Connecticut in the US)

i don't know... &mdash 12/04/07 - 08:04:31 PM
but i like it. now i have several guesses, but none will be correct. it almost sounds like a drunken pavement practice, or a bit less-dark bauhaus (also drunken) practice. i dont know, but once again, this was a fun track! nice work!

I see Feter beat me to that guess :)

Henry Cow &mdash 12/06/07 - 07:08:04 AM

Without the drums it could be some Fred Frith music too .

Without the drums this track would be more experimental and
more interesting . For my personal taste :-)

The only &mdash 12/06/07 - 06:11:26 PM
The only thing I can guess is Nagativland... maybe from "A Big 10-8 Place", meant to be used in excerpted form. I have no idea :)

Duh &mdash 12/06/07 - 06:12:08 PM
Make that "Negativland".

Reminds me... &mdash 12/07/07 - 10:47:17 AM
of the Shaggs without vocals. There's utterly charming about this!

Not sure who it is. &mdash 12/07/07 - 01:35:16 PM
Mad picture and cool track. This track is a bit out of my genre knowledge, but its interesting to listen to.

the neat &mdash 12/08/07 - 11:38:43 AM
experimental guitar noises are fun....but badly played drums are badly played drums, and they really hurt this track...even if this is a really good drummer trying to play badly for humor, it doesnt work to me.

sorry.

don't get it.

I had never heard a squeaky vodka-stained bar-stool spun back and forth to make music before... that was cool. I see the amoeba-like shapes floating around the walls, through the hippie beads of my altered state... pretty wacky out-there recording... certainly reminds me why I never wanted to take drugs... I can just listen to to this instead! Saying "singer" while in this state comes out "snigger" Nani Desuka? Nani... :-)
ttfn,
Drakonis
