your HEART is where the home is :) &mdash 12/04/07 - 12:03:55 PM
The long intro is definitely a nice (early) Pink Floyd-ish sounding tune, has a touch of that bittersweet longing sound I like. You have a sound-effect in there that sounds like a quickly chugging steam engine... I like it, but you may want to have it fade slowly in, then slowly out... it was a bit abrupt when it started/stopped. Also, possibly a little more lead-up to the switch-over in the middle part when you start singing. The melody and singing there was infectious. You have a very good feel for music, and I look forward to more of your pieces showing up here... perhaps you and I can collaborate on something sometime? :-)

very nice theme and Idea ..nice guitar work
good points Drakonis pointed there ..I dunno
why you put this here as a folkie ..this should
be placed at the art rock category .certainly
you give alot to this as a whole .would love to
hear more ties between parts its like syd barrets
jumps like from phase to another .maybe this is
what you want .and its a giant work to play all this
and its just wonderfull ..welldone !!

very nice &mdash 12/04/07 - 06:11:16 PM
welcome to MJ's. this is a really cool piece. Not so sure about the folk genre (more psychedelic for my ears), but it's a really cool piece. like that gtr doing the train rhythm, and the organ very much.

Pink Floyd-eque &mdash 12/06/07 - 04:07:58 AM
HIYA!

Definetyl Pink Floyd-ism was in your head when you did this. Especially the way the intro droppes into the main body, and the deep male backing.

Love it.
