Lyrics
it was like the trees were paper dolls
and their shadows the second dimension
so thin and flush against the road
the cars could not crumple their precision
some were stained with inky residue
their bodies soggy through and through
edges turned up exposed upon the road
each tire tearing up His vision
and you ran up the trunk and you jumped from the top
we all called your name but you'd never ever stop
you blamed your bruises on hollow excuses
falling before our eyes, failing to realize
the only way out is to climb to the bottom
the only way out is to leave it all behind
and their shadows the second dimension
so thin and flush against the road
the cars could not crumple their precision
some were stained with inky residue
their bodies soggy through and through
edges turned up exposed upon the road
each tire tearing up His vision
and you ran up the trunk and you jumped from the top
we all called your name but you'd never ever stop
you blamed your bruises on hollow excuses
falling before our eyes, failing to realize
the only way out is to climb to the bottom
the only way out is to leave it all behind

Reminds me a bit of Roger Waters solo work especially in the song crafting and vocal work. Not what I was expecting to hear but I love a good surprise.Good stuff and much enjoyed even more the second time around.
Blessings,
