Description:
This my take on smokey's tune. I'm such an idiot, I didn't know it was supposed to be a holiday song.
Lyrics:
There's a bell down in the valleyit echoes on and on
the old mans resting peaceful
another year is gone
and well all be forgiven
for what we counted on
I hope we are forgiven
for what we're asking for
the old man had a treasure
tatooed on his chest
every thing is rented here
this is all a test
and well all be forgiven
for what we counted on
I hope we are forgiven
for what we're asking for

Your fine music conjoured up all kind of images for me and that made it easy. In case you were wondering. I cut and pasted the piano track into the marimba track for the second verse. Cheers.

there's a quality to your voice and the arrangement that is just amazing - I'm not kidding. I really like the lyrics too. Excellent re-shaping of Smokey's tune.

I guess from now on I'll do all my vocals first thing in the morning. (I heard that Tom Waits does it that way. Suprise.)
Great arrangement, strong depth with the vocal style... it sincerely adds spirit to the lyrics... well done!!!!!! Thanks Buckhorn......
