Lyrics
SEEMS LIKE FOREVER (HAS TURNED INTO NEVER).

Don’t know what day it is
Or quite where I am.
Or just what I’m feeling
Or what lies ahead.

What cloud did I float in on?
Or am I some lost machine?
Or simply a dream
from somewhere yet unknown?

Thought I heard a sound
Drift in from the west.
Whispering to me
“You once were the best”….

Now it seems like forever
Has turned into never
And it just ain’t me at all.
And it seems like hoping
Is little more than coping
‘Til time sets my soul free.

Were alone on a dark sea,
Our ship’s sinking fast.
Each man for himself
How long can we last?

I don’t know what day it is
Can’t make out the clock.
Or tell the minutes from hours
Or years to unlock.

Top rate lyrics Dennis,
and a wonderful production. Love the lead guitar break and the overall feel. The guitar licks accenting the vocal are very tasty.

My only suggestion would be to pull up the bottom end of the song a little. More Bass and Bass Drum in the mix.

Great song no matter.

Ed

I second
That 'Top Rate'remark by Ed. The lyrics to your songs are always so well thought out and you really do have your own special sound. Love that lead guitar and your vocals..... and the production makes this like one of those 'Anthems,' where the people all sway with a candle in their hand, Love it, regards M

Great guitar
work on this. The lyrics are great - bittersweet and romantic all at the same time. I would have to agree with Ed that the bottom end seems a little lost in the mix. Sounds better on headphones, but on the speakers it seems trebley. Did I mention that I love the guitar?! Nice work. Kudos. Peace.

Thanks guys....
....I appreciate the comments greatly.

The bottom end problem has been mentioned several times on my stuff here on Mc Jams and it is a problem for me, as with my speaker set up, the bass drum/guitar really booms, in fact I withdrew this post once so as to drop the bottom a little. Maybe I should test my mixes on a separate system...but rarely do...as I dont have one.

Dennis.

This really
is top notch quality songwriting Dennis. Superb musicianship, as always, too.
'And it seems like hoping
Is little more than coping'
really resonates - brilliant lyrics.
I agree with Maurice - an anthem.
Cheers

You are a great writer........
Your lyrics resonate with me and your music on this one is intoxicating. I like this one I think because the lyrics come at me at a pace that allows thoughtful reflection while the guitar rolls and never disappoints. Great job.
