Description:
The Raven, rapped. I have done the same to six other poems, and I'm not ashamed of it either. Did Mozart, Wagner, Bach, Verdi, Brahms, Beethoven,...write any of their libretos? If they did it was the rare exception. The Raven was the Libreto for my composition. Check out Dead Poet Clan: the greatest poems. www.cdbaby.com/cd/deadpoetclan.

First of all, I like the poem and I think you do a cool reading of it here. I like the fact that you're using that great 5/4 beat.

5/4, for those of us who like to think about what we're listening to, and enjoy it too.

pretty cool &mdash 01/16/08 - 10:38:56 AM
this is pretty cool. I too like the alternate 5/4 tempo.

a technical observation: there is alot of noise clouding this track. Im not sure if you wanted an old sounding effect or something, but the amount of noise is really overwhelming. Any idea where its coming from?

Also, the vocals have alot of reverb which is taking out out from the front of the mix. My suggestion (and this is just my humble opinion) is to lower the reverb on the vocals and maybe throw a tinsy bit of reverb on the master track so that the vocals and instrumental blend together (uniform reverb makes it sound like everything is being played in the same room).

Really liked the crescendo with the vocals. Really cool rendition of the a great poem.

Keep it up man!!
