Description:
This is one of my older songs. I've tweaked the sound a little bit recently but don't want to change it a lot because it came out pretty good. It's about wanting to be with someone no matter what others think.

sounds good &mdash 12/13/07 - 02:20:50 PM
I'm liking the guitar work and overlapping vox. It's got a real Pearl Jam/Nirvana hybrid feel about it, which is a good thing in my books!

I listened to a lot of PJ and Nirvana in the past, so I can see how that might show through. Thanks for listening.

Hey &mdash 12/14/07 - 11:34:17 PM
Hey Nick,
Welcome to MacJams! Nice first post. To me it has kind-of a Weezer, or OffSpring feel/sound to it. Rough, and off the cuff, but honest and well arranged. It has a kind of a mesmerizing suspenseful tension to the main stanzas and then a loose controlled flailing explosion to the choruses. Really nice production. What do you use for drums. They sound good.

Boss drums &mdash 12/16/07 - 01:06:56 AM
I used my old school Boss DR-550 MKII on this one. Simple, yet does the job sometimes. I'm using iDrum on my newer stuff. The song is very straightforward and raw and it seems to work OK. When I first did this song I was using a Tascam Portastuio 488. That actually seems like it wasn't that long ago.
Thanks for the comments Philip.

did a really good composition here. The arrangement is excellent along with the backing treatment... a lot of thought gone into it. Love the guitars and the slightly monotone vocal giving a sense of longing and the overlapping is good, adding interest, regards M

Thanks Moviz &mdash 01/14/08 - 09:20:09 PM
Doing the multiple vocal tracks was fun. My voice usually comes out a bit monotone so I guess that worked well for this tune. Vocals are my weakest area. Thanks for the comment.

Great vox &mdash 04/05/08 - 05:06:42 AM
Rich, full sound. Guitars are nice and clean. Great writing here, as well as production.
Really impressive stuff. Kind of an Indian feel to it.

Welcome here Bro. This is a great first post. I love your vocals but I wish to try to work harder on mixing this piece. You're great artist and I hope you'll enjoy your time being here! Welcome Again... Congrats on this piece!

This could definitely use a better mix. I don't know if I'll ever get around to it though. Oh well- first post is expected to be rough right:)

Hi Nick &mdash 06/20/08 - 09:56:20 AM
I listened to this one after hearing you Coffee House mix, and I have to say I like the fullness of this version better. The other version is good too, but it sounded a little thin to me.

This one rocks man.

Great track
