Description:
thumping dance tune that samples a very interesting rapper I found at: http://www.archive.org/details/macdaddydwj_vernacular_swirlin

Lyrics:
thoughts swirlin in eternal contemplation
calculatin every variation in attempt to anticipate every situation
compounded by multiple derivatives and their deviations of opposing positives and negatives and their classification
i'm just a nice guy, tryin to make it
just tryin to find the blanket statement
that would become my motivation treadin the ocean of emotion and keepin a solid locomotion to prove my devotion to the force that keeps my placated mind from grit and the grime of a depression, and keep me focused on succession, to keep moving forward like rocky, if I get knocked down, it'll only be to one knee, ready to bring up my game and my delivery, because I refuse to deny what got me to where I am today, that my faith and adaptibilty have carried me since back way when the most popular thang in my life was to say cowabunga, that's when I was younger and I really hadn't begun to be bothered by the world yet, still in the bubble protected by my parents, but now that life has shown me it will not hesitate to cause you to stumble and fumble and the best thing to do is fall with grace, but not from it, because dad gum it, i know there had got to be more to it, which is why i wrote this rhyme in an attempt to give a lucid and fluid picture of my own perspective, via an intraspective of my own venacular, bringing it back to where we were with the swirlin thoughts...

nice &mdash 12/13/07 - 04:09:43 PM
sounds. were you just using Logic's synths? I find it hard to get decent sounds from them but you obviously managed very well. Cool themes throughout. Thanks

Thanks &mdash 12/14/07 - 03:01:15 AM
Thanks for taking a listen! I run most of the synth sounds through the guitar rig effects plug in to really rough them up a bit. Makes the sounds less generic.

I like the interesting interplay &mdash 01/23/08 - 08:17:27 PM
between the rapper and the BG music. Works as a bed for the rap and the juxtaposition between the two is interesting. Takes the rap away from the traditional cliche of a rap.

thanks alot &mdash 02/02/08 - 12:14:37 AM
I really appreciate the use of my clip in this rap, I would like to re-record the lyrics to better fit the tempo and pace and rhythm of the music. Plus, do it with better "breath control" (post production editing), as you can hear me taking breaths every so often. Plus, it wouldn't hurt if I recorded with something better than a 7 dollar Labtec mic, which I could do, if wanted.

Hi &mdash 02/16/08 - 09:31:54 AM
Sorry to take ages getting back to you. Glad you like it - if you'd like to record a new version, I could get a vocal-less track for you to rap over...

Very interesting track &mdash 02/21/08 - 02:56:24 PM
esp. with the vocal over the music. Both elements work really well. Its a brave track as I would not have attempted to do a track like this, so much kudos for doing it. Nice one.
