Description:
Just a love song

Lyrics:
I Thought it Was Indigestion
So I Took Some Medication
But the Pain Still Remained
I Had Just One Suggestion
And It Was All Explained
The Answer To The Question

I'm Falling, Crawling, Sprawling, In Love
I'm Crumbling, Fumbling, Stumbling, In Love
I'm Spilling, Chilling, Willing, In Love

How Could I Ever Doubt It
I Might As Well Just Submit
The Feeling Wasn't Illness
I Just Don't Have The Wit
Like a Home With No Address
A Blaze With Nothing Lit

I'm Falling, Crawling, Sprawling, In Love
I'm Crumbling, Fumbling, Stumbling, In Love
I'm Spilling, Chilling, Willing, In Love

A Summersong in Midwinter...:) &mdash 12/13/07 - 06:49:33 PM
The beat is good the guitar superb the lyrics lovely the piano nicely guiding...your voice is cool and so is the effect on it although on some parts I think the voice could be a tad more upfront, imo.

A terrific tune that I enjoyed and definitely has a radio hit potential..if that ever is your intention. Thanks for sharing your talent.

Kind regards,

Summersong &mdash 12/14/07 - 05:39:19 AM
Didn't really think of summer or winter. Thanks very much Djev for your very encouraging comments. I struggled with the vocal volume one minute too loud/next too soft. Decided that less is more. Wouldn't it be fantastic to hear your song on the radio - always been a dream of mine, too late now though.
Thanks again for taking the time to listen and comment.
Appreciated.

A blaze wit nothin' lit ... well, that aint you Len, 'cause you always send out smoke and flame to warm us on these cold nights. Great track - you've got a unique sound, which is really difficult to do.

I think 'Love Songs' have been done to death, but this is a really fresh take on the theme - excellent guitar as well!

Funnily that line was originally 'Like a Pain in my Stomach Pit' but try as I might I just couldn't sing it.
Great to hear from you Steve - how is the wrist? I do hope it's getting better. Will be listening to yours' and Bob's after work.

Man Len, you're really developing as a singer and songwriter at an immeasurable rate. I'm so impressed.

This song is beautiful. Your voice and the piano are so right together. That guitar part shocked me. I was not expecting it at all. It felt like Brian May from Queen walked into your studio. Once before you played a guitar that reminded me of his rich sound. Boy, I hope I didn't reveal a secret you were trying to keep.

Man, you have got style to the max.

Thanks for the download!

Weird and wonderful .. &mdash 12/14/07 - 10:33:27 AM
.. in that quite distinctive Len style. Not much to add on the good points (although I like the almost stumbling drums, wether intentional or not .. they fit with the song idea very well). Vocals I would also like a bit more poppy reverbed and not so distant .. although the reverb used is perfect for the long drawn out 'in love' lines .. (like your falling down a canyon) - neat and clever idea, again in keeping with the song. Another gem Len.

I really look forward to your comments Alan and am really pleased you like it.
I get the writing/music done for these really VERY quickly and then spend days on end trying to sing them. I am NEVER happy with the vocals, either my voice or the production. I think that this seems to be quite a common thing with people here and their voices.
Thanks again.

The vocal effect just sort of happened, I'd like to tell you that I spent lots of hours doing lots of clever things, but I just tweak echo and reverb a bit. I worry much more about being in tune than the sound.

I commend &mdash 12/15/07 - 07:34:48 AM
you for your astounding creativity. This song would have been unique with just the piano and your vocal but you had to go and take it to the next level! Very sweet guitar solo (did sound like Brian May) and I have to say, the build to the end was an excellent choice.

To be entirely candid, I wasn't sure about the song until the end- up until the guitar I was really wanting something more- of course, that's right about the time you delivered more than I expected! Very nice tune!!

Intense and takes me on that typical Lengold trip. Somewhere in a cosy bar with a misses and just enough whiskey down the hatch to let them worries go. The delivery fits, I even think that you don't need the drums. Sigh, a good nightcap.

I recognize that song art!!! &mdash 12/16/07 - 05:35:12 PM
(Myst/Riven...If you played the computer games, you've fallen into the fissure, yourself!)

Having said that, the song art illustrates nicely the song itself.

I like how you've used a 'distant' effect on your vox. Distant in sound and emotion. A perfect complement to the lyrics.

Over-thinking or underestimating?
It's gotta be love!

kudos :)

Cool instrumental arrangement and a very original style... loved the melody and the lyrics definitely flow to the confusion of love coming on.... You do have a good voice....it may be my setup, but I don't think it would hurt to have the vocal more upfront... there's a good vocal there nonetheless!!!! I like this song!!!!!!!
