Has a very strong UB40ish sound,especially in the vocal department.Love the vibe and simple delivery.Lots of cool little elements-those muted guitar voicings,various backing vocal parts,a infectious reagge groove,your solid roll outta'bed rappin' abilities and that unmistakable happy to be alive feeling you truly get across to the listener.This was a great start to my day.Much enjoyed!

This song makes an excellent alarm!! I tried it out. The beginning bars are the same as the ending bars, so the entire song makes a perfect loop. After the song makes a third pass, those harmonies just make you roll right out of bed. [ Reply to This ]

You are quite the observer!! That guitar playing was done in one take. The drum track actually started out as a backing track for me to exercise my fingers to. on your artist page you run your acoustic through the soundhole mic. the dean markley soundhole pickup is a great alternative to finding a silent place to record. it is not fantastically responsive, but i still use it on my ovation 12-string and get good results. at around 50 dollars, not a bad buy either. have a great holiday, brother!

What a great track... you got me singing along, harmonizing, dancing in my chair.... ooooooh yeah! Great job here. I love the message and the delivery... man... Hey man, very nice feeling you got to this song. The vocals does sound you're waking up, and i see you made all efforts to have it authentic. The production is top quality. Gave it a vote 10! The change around 4:35 is very cool too. I liked the ending too, with the speech and all. You should post the lyrics though... Very good work on this one. I'll check out your other songs. I appreciate your comments. I have been taking notes on everybody's mixing techniques in GB so I can get as close to a clean mix as possible. I still think my efforts fall way short. But it took me an entire week to tweak this song to get it to what you hear now. GB3 has so much stuff packed into it! I have been playing with that software for little over a year and a half now and I swear, each time I get to messing around with it, I discover something else new I have never seen or heard before. You, this MacJams community and GB are going to make me into an audio recording engineer yet!

Though it was totally unintentional when I was making this song up, but I think it is a direction I may try to go on some future tunes. Don't know when I'll get to uploading them though....I'm having a difficult time in finding time to record...it seems the day-to-day-gotta-make-some-dollars-to-live process has got me consumed.
