Description:
The oroginal version (song #27374) was uploaded in December 2006. This alternate version was mixed during the same period, along with a vocal mix. I forgot about this mix and the vocal mix until just now!!
This Alto Sax mix was made up of the original mix plus a 3 minute alto sax 'bit in the middle' or bridge. It takes the mix length to around 7 minutes or so.
This mix has been given some more mastering treatment, so should be 'spacier' but possibly at the expense of a few 'artifacts' that you might notice.
The format of the mix is A-B-A.
Let me know what you think, of the mix, production, etc.. so I can learn and try and makes things better, the next time.

...I am one who is always wanting a tune to spin off somewhere. I really like the "feeling" in this mix and can easily see it as an accompanying atmosphere for a movie sound track. You have such an extraordinary skill of mixing loops and timbres of instruments that it is impossible to not get drawn into your work. But there is a "sameness" that pervades this number...Perhaps a key modulation in a couple of key spots would help define some movement and give that "lift" I am longing for.
Anyway, just a thought that, having been said, does not diminish the creativity you always bring to your scores and very much so to this one.
Peace.

Thanks Paul.. &mdash 12/23/07 - 11:27:01 AM
I always appreciate your remarks.
The piece is a bit 'one level', but I doubt that I'll play with it any more. I originally put it to one side when I completed it a year ago, so I must have thought it was not that good, to not upload it straight after completing it.
I've learned a great deal in the last year and so hopefully my main pieces this coming year will have more variety in them, to offer relief whilst listening.
Have a great Christmas and 2008.
Take care.
