Description:
On the original mix, lots of people suggested vocals on the track, and Spitlogic kindly did some. I really respect Spitlogic, he has a brilliant rapping voice and the lyrics are always thought provoking, and the lyrics on this track are no different. Well sit back and enjoy the vocals as they go really well with the track. Also enjoy the panning scratching.
P.s. If anyone else would like to add vocals to the track then you are very welcome, just drop me a note. :-)

Lyrics:
Got a monkey on my back who wont get off of meStill free as a bird ain't no boss of me
Still free with the words it won't cost a fee
My flow like the Atlantic got you lost at sea
Got a mind thats as foucused as a beam of light
That can cut like a lazer when I cling to mics
My life of cross faders tight breaks and verses
The economy of the soul is not for purchase
Proper propaganda makes you think you're worthless
Makes you think the surface is all that matters
But its all just matter and not the essence of what you've been blessed with
Life is full of limits at times you must test it
Afro Samurai, they want me arrested
Just because Im free-form thought manifested
Im not impressed with thier attempts to mess with
The movement to keep Hiphop connected
I sit in the center mind focused
eyes closed like the blind louts
Meditate trying to levitate
My mind elevate to touch on the heaven's state
Im prepared for whatever fate
Show paitence, forever wait
Got a love for humanity, Ill never hate
Spitlogic the El and my man Diviner on the track man I couldn't find a better mate
While devils create poisons to sell on the streets
I'm prepping the counter attack to bring hell to the streets
Its the way of the sword
The mic and the cord
Until we're all one accord
The loss of my honor I cannot afford
So in the name of truth
I will not stop till we reclaim the youth
its not the fault of the tree you should blame the root
That runs deep to the core of the planet

Deep lyrics, excellent delivery (although the distortion wasn't really necessary, though very functional!). Oriental riddim with that Dinfections Diviner tom-like bass. Love the organ. From Dark to melancholic. Third part has a nice 707-like clap. Jop, Div is back better than ever!

that Rap isn't normally my 'Thing' but since I first heard Sp'logic at MJ and can hear every single word I always listen and enjoy. The backing too is good with the various rhythmic sounds, bet the words/poetry is very good especially that line "It's not the fault of the tree, you should blame the root". It's so relevant to so much in this world today, Good work/collab, regards M
