Description:
When I get three hours free on a Saturday afternoon it's time to crank out a quick tune. Here it is - no lookin' back. I'll probably regret it tomorrow - but I sure had fun.
Lyrics:
Gimme gimme something I can take to the bankGimme gimme something I can take to the bank
Tell me something new I haven’t heard before
Gimme one good reason not to walk out the door
My stake in this deal is running out of juice
My interest is waning I’ve got nothing to lose
If we were more mature I guess we’d take our time
But I wanna to cash out and you’re the first in line

surprise from you Bud. I think you got something you can take to the bank here. Really original sounding and a great rocking beat. Love the vocal effects. Would have liked it to last a lot, lot longer though. I think it would definitely be worth expanding.
Cheers

Glad you like it. For this to go on any longer I'd have to write a whole other section and I didn't have time today - so I kept it to a 2 min. Ramones/Strokes thing.

...rock 'n' roll piano fired up, Bud. Nice high-energy number...one that you can definitely take to the bank! Night and day from Dog Days. You're definitely a versatile guy. I'm enjoying getting to know your music.
Peace.

and cool picture of the bank vault. Our bank in a small town downtown has exactly that vault and vault door!
I kind of sounds like you recorded the song in that vault.
Good stuff.
bud
at the Queens Museum and we set up in the large elevator with the doors open. Thanks for stopping by.

Ma, this is great - tremendous energy and a '77 production - once this starts it just doesnt give u is grip - the keys really counterpoint the aggressive guitar - perfect as it is, Bud.

I heard a little bit of the song E3 from Mars off the No New York creeping into this - had to fight it back. Thanks for the enthusiastic comment. You've been on quite a roll lately.

This this tune was inspired by a new band I just discovered. They're called Division Day and they have a song called Ricky that is amazing. I was listening to KCRW yesterday when it came on. Immediately bought the whole CD on iTunes. Check em out.

that NYC punk doc you where involved with finally soaked in. very aggressive and I'm digging it.
Gimme cash..... the best holiday gift, one can get
bud
consider this my money card for you this year. Cheers!
Has that NYC punk sound to it, love it to bits!
bud
thanks Tom.

Very The Strokes. The sound is energetic and thin, missing almost all the low and mid- middle EQ bands. Cool effect. This rocks! I love the cracking distorted break. I used to have a little battery powered megaphone that used to be able to make that noise. You won't regret this one. It will stand the test of time better than you think.

I still think their first CD is great. The mix on this bugged me at first - until I realized it was also what made it work. Thanks for the encouraging remarks.
guitapick
...the keys in this. Nice juxt...
Three hours of fun...can't ask for more. Sounds great, bud.
bud
Happy Holidays! Thanks for stopping by. I usually can't find my keys - got lucky the other day.
John Stebbe
Energetic and fun. The processed vocal reminds me of Brownsville Station's "Smokin' In The Boys' Room" from the 1970s.
Lots of drive here, propelling the tune to its conclusion.

Thanks for dropping by and taking the time to comment.

JOAN darling.

All most makes me want to take up slam dancing again, only, you know, there's my knee, and my back, and my shoulder that gets sore when the weather changes, and my glasses....
Okay, maybe I'll just think about slam dancing and just enjoy the music...
bud
try the chair pogo - it's a good ab workout and less dangerous.

Baleful Waking Morn is a killer. Nice of you to drop by. CB's is gone - but I'm still here.

back to your roots on this one. this is awesome. it's like a no wave gathering, featuring the strokes, gang of 4 and thurston moore. loving this.
bud
I listened to this on the train on my iPod today and realized I should have issued a warning label with this one. Philip is right - no mids - no bass - all screech. Nice - huh?
Are there many roots to this?
bud
we're just fruit fallin' off the same tree.

Driving, straight ahead - kick out the jams! This is great. Nice guitar sound, and the bass works very well - a nice melodic line that keeps the whole thing moving along nicely. Nice bit of discordance on the guitar too. Nice one. Peace.
bud
real nice of you to stop by for a listen. Have a nice holiday.
kingbee
Cool. A good rocking tune. Bought to mind Nik Turner of Hawkwind in his band Inner City Unit..which is good in my books.
bud
new to me. I appreciate you stopping by and taking the time to comment. I've been enjoying your music lately.
rsorensen
liked it within the first 3 seconds. Hard rockin' and quirky! Reminds me of one of my fave bands Primus. Great mix.
bud
I'm flattered. Thanks a lot.
VicDiesel
Quick, honest, raw. Who needs 3 days of studio time just to lay down the drums? I enjoy this more than some slick piece of radio mush.
bud
Great arrangement. Really glad you could get into this - I feel the same way about immediacy. I recently bought Rebsie's CD and realized how much better it was than the overproduced versions of similar recordings. Have a great holiday - and thanks for stopping by.

Just caught your vid on the forums-this is GREAT! Lock and load and PLAY! Every now and then I hear something that makes my fingers itch and want to fire up the trusty Epiphone and level a few city blocks!
massa
Excellent work Bud! I saw your tips regarding Vocal effects on the Forum and came check out your song. Fantastic sound... very well recorded in my opinion. I'm new to MacJam. Have you done any collab yet? I would be honored to add a guitar phrase or anything you'ld like. All the best and congratulations on the song!

Bud, I just watched the video on your profile page and have to compliment you on the song and also the video. That's some really smart repetition of road lines, trees and grates, I just zoned out as I dug the music. Reminds me of the sound on one of my favorite old (but not early) PIL albums, "That What Is Not." Clean and dirty at the same time, invites us to crank-up the stereo and put down these damn earbuds.
