Lyrics
VERSE 1
There’s a man who has just come down from the mountain
He seems to have some things he’d like to say.
But his hair is almost down to his trousers
There’s something about him that makes us look away.
VERSE 2
There’s a man who once knew Mohatma Ghandi
He walked a thousand miles on thin air.
But people cross the road to avoid him
Get a safe distance, then they stop and stare.
CHORUS 1
There’s a lot going on that we don’t know
There’s a lot going on that we don’t know
There’s a lot going on that we don’t know
There’s a lot going on that we don’t know
VERSE 3
There’s a learned man collects the stings of scorpions
He’s convinced that he can save the human race.
He could cure our ills and stop us getting older
But we’d rather throw it all back in his face.
VERSE 4
There are plenty men around who’ll rebuild you
Rearrange what God and nature made.
But no-one can explain why this will help you
They can’t lift your spirit but they can lift your face.
There’s a man who has just come down from the mountain
He seems to have some things he’d like to say.
But his hair is almost down to his trousers
There’s something about him that makes us look away.

I like this a lot. The vocal is nice - reminds me a little of Syd Barrett. The lyrics are interesting ("They can't lift your spirit but they can lift your face" is a killer line!) Nice melody and good construction. If I could nit-pick a bit about the mix - the drums seemed a little low in the mix to me. Bass has a good sound, but could also be a little higher. But this is just my take. This is a good, solid song. Thanks for sharing. Happy New Year to you and yours. Peace.
