Michael originally posted this as an open collaboration. It's such a cool tune I jumped on it.

Michael was generous enough to send the original files. I did a remix of those and added guitars to the mix.

Thanks Michael for letting us join you in these musical outings

Listening....
I'm in music heaven. Good one to jump in on, Vic. Great sideman adds. This is so friggin' cool and retro...ly new! I don't want to chime in with the obligatory Beatles reference... But! this is dripping with the Fab four... or at least John and George........ oooooo,
oh yeah!

Kudos guys.

Hey Jack
I've heard artists try to imitate Lennon and it would sound fake.
Michael probably does Lennon better then Lennon.

They don't
write songs like this anymore...wait a minute this is a new song!I'm a Beatlemaniac-there's an obvious Beatles influence here but it's not a rip-off, just a jumping off point for a great original song.Your vocals sound fantastic here.Splendid guitar work.

Beatlemania
true a real send up of a Beatle style.
In there final year I know George was using a Leslie speaker cabinet a lot. luckily I have a plug-in that emulates it perfectly. This is a great song that Michael came up with.

Very cool
I liked the original, and I love this. The guitar is perfect - great selection of sounds, and nicely placed in the mix. This is a great song, and the guitar here gives it the extra ingredient that makes it special. Very cool. Congrats to Michael on such a fine song, and kudos Vic for bringing your guitar magic to the party. Nice work. Peace.

very cool
when Michael first posted the original, I already had my guitar out and was playing along. I tried a lot of ways for the guitars to go. I wanted them to support Michaels vocals.

OK
I just listened to M2's original and then this. The original song was great, but this mix and your guitar additions really make it shine. You production is TOP NOTCH. I mean I am really stunned. The reverb space is particularly well done and convincing. Great job Vic.

we need to talk Michael into getting Logic. I was lucky enough to get his original garageband files to work with and do a re-mix. His vocals are just amazing and have perfect pitch.

I spent 2 evenings repeatedly playing around with the guitars to get something that sounded right.

Absolutely FABulous 4 so many reasons :-)
Well.... :-) I'm just in love with this one!!! The perfect song for a lazy late Sunday morning; coffee, the artistic and happy sections of the paper... the rest I'll just imply... :-) Beautiful in it's simply stated lyrics - perfection in it's mood. Wonderful Mike and Vic! :-)

Hi Carole
you and me both. when Michael put this up as a open collab, first my jaw dropped to the floor. Then I immediately started playing along to get a feel for it. Definantely one of my favorite songs by anyone

Michael's vocals are always a gem.
He should be writing songs for the stars.... and teach them a thing or two on what a good song really is.

Hey Bud
I tried to stay in the pocket when Michael mentioned the "Let It be" period on this. I remember the film of the same and G.H. was playing around a lot with a Leslie Speaker, fortunately i have a plug in that emulates it pretty good.

You know, Michaels a competition/project in his own right, with throwing great tunes out for open collabaration. makes me feel a bit guilty.

i had to careful not to compromise Michael's singing. I probably tried over a two or three dozen ways on how to approach the guitars to this. I always have a blast playing on some of his songs.

Michael Vic
is at it again. I like the overall sound quality you have here. The guitar parts were tasteful and not overdone which is good because it was already a great song. I tried messing with this and your version blows doors on what I did. Enjoyed it. btw M2's profile says he's only done a few collaborations on macjams so far. ;)

When Michael first posted this as a open collab. I was wondering what the heck was he thinking. But, then again he has a tendency to throw some great stuff out here for others to play with. Put the guy on american idol, already.

I wouldn't doubt that's a delicacy somewhere.

When Michaels not dreaming of being a storm chaser he dreams up great tunes. I'm just happy that he put this for a open collab.

U!
If I had to choose someone to send this already *really nice* tune another step forward - it would be you Vic -Poifect Fit - Michael, you surely must be pleased. Great team here!

. - Harold

Notes to self: Mr Holman is definitely someone to keep in mind if you need to make a great song Harold. Be nice to him. Michael has a wonderful voice and maybe you can talk him into singing one of your songs sometimes, Harold. Be nice to him, too. Harold, if you make friends with these guys, you could even have success...

Vic Holman said 552 days ago (December 30th, 2007)
The Harold notes
I have as much fun playing on others tunes as well as creating my own stuff. I wouldn't of thought this possible until this past year or so. That's what I like about this place.

Michael is one damn fine friendly musician.

Very Nice
the song could easily become a pale Beatles knock off but the distinctive personality in the guitars and vocals keeps things real. I need to go back and listen to more of your stuff to hear that guitar in other genres.

pale beatles knock off
you know I feared that when I wrote the thing. i always have a beatles influence, but try and reign it in; that's why i kept throwing out the guitar tracks that I did. Vic really added some cool stuff to it that took it in a different direction. it's almost like Robin Trower jammimg with the Beatles now.

Wow!
I missed the original so this is my first time around. What a great tune. Michael's vox is wonderful and yes, very Lennon-esque. And Vic, you add just the right touch-and-feel on that electric guitar.

Someone recently posted something in the Forums about the death of MJ...What a laugh. Collabs like this one prove it's alive and thriving!

Be well!
Vic Holman said 549 days ago (January 2nd, 2008)
your right Mike
jeez, remember a little over a year collabs were few and rare. a healthy state in my opinion.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Music just flows out of Michael.
This one of those tunes that I wish I wrote. except my vocals could never match in a billion years. Even through thousands of incarnations.
