Description
I been working on a new band project along with bassist John LeBlanc and drummer Mark Nikita collectively known as SKU. This is a song demo put together during the writing process and is a work in progress. Love to get y'alls reaction/suggestions on this as we continue to mold and craft this song.

The song is about television.

Lyrics
I BELIEVE YOU
©2007 Ray Kainz, John LeBlanc & Mark Nikita

I love to turn you on
and watch your every action
the subtle sounds you make
such a sexy attraction

I see you
I see your light animate and invade the room
I feel you
You make me laugh you make me cry
You make me live you make me die
but worst of all
I believe you

I love to turn you on
because it turns me on
mesmerized by your wave
hypnotized now I'm saved

You fill our heart's desire
You've built this mindless empire
You gave us everything
and left us with nothing

is it still....
....a sexy attraction?

sexy
& mesmerizing. A very pro sound. The guitars especially seem to resonate with a crisp & gritty edge. The vocal is outstanding with big props to the backing vocals as well. Best of luck in this new endeavor. Looking forward to the CD release and the resulting tour.

sexy
I'm looking forward to the full length CD too. This is probably our most "pop" sounding song. A good candidate for a single. Our other songs are more on the "progressive" tip. Thanks for listening!

A believer
I am. I look forward to everything you share. Excellent track. Love the music, the mix, the pace changes. Could use a dash more humor, which you are so good at. TV is an easy target. The cry/die rhyme is so normal, which might be the point, almost like you couldn't get the tv lexicons out of your head. If its criticism you are trying for, I wanted more inventiveness, insight. If its general enjoyment, you nailed it. I was genuinely entertained throughout. And no commercials!

believer
Hey Tobin - thanks for your time and thoughts. I agree that the cry/die rhyme is standard and easy. I wrote the lyrics very quickly just to have something to sing. I probably could revisit some of the lyrics and inject a little more humor/irony/sarcasm/wit etc. Thanks for the prod!

Love the guitar sound
on this, and the playing is great - nice, rocking funk vibe on the verses and chorus (if that makes sense! Think Vernon Reid and Living Color...) and the lead is a perfect fit. Also love the great, rich bass and drum sounds. Overall, a great sound. Vocal performance is excellent - terrific interplay between the "backing" vocals and the lead. Arrangement is excellent, with nice dynamics created by the regular changeups. A hit. Nicely done. Peace.

Jeeeez...
What a stunning track, mate! I'm so bloody ashamed I never seem to have visited your page before. No special reason, I guess... but be sure you got me nailed now.

Splendid piece of art rock... everything fits: the drums, guitars, the vocals... wow: the vocals. Perhaps slightly too much treble, but what a performance. I hear a bit of the Chili Peppers in the chorus. Bravo, bravo, bravo.

up there
Another great tune, up there with your others.

Love how you keep our interest up with your variation in your musical sections, the builds, the subtle to the in-your-face, along with the tasty vocal and guitar accoutrements that seem to always make your tunes glisten amongst the many tunes here.

Love your attention to the details.

Terrivision
I personally abandoned this vast wasteland many years ago, using it only occasionally for sports, or PBS. And no cable.

Very cool concept and execution, Ray.

Wonderfully played and produced. So many great feels, twists and turns... and influences in here. Wow!

All 10s, my friend. Best of luck with this project. ;)

Wow this is a treat. Nice depth and pro sound here. Cool trippy rolling groove on the track. Strong vocals. And the guitars in the middle really rip. This has a mystical, zeppelin feel to me. Wonderful work, I look forward to hearing more from SKU. -- Alan

Dude!
Dude! I'm loving this.
Your a man after my own heart when it comes to your vocal harmonies.
Kinda sounds like a more pop version of 'procupine tree' = which of course means it's brilliant.

I have some suggestions for the piece but feel here is not the place. Email me if you're intested.

Lovin' Lovin' Lovin it!

This is quite
a rock production. It seems like a lot of work went into this.

Lots of pro rock sound to me. You should be able to make money with this type of music.
Lots of what I would think a current sound, especially with a kind of rap feel in place. And sounds with lots of rock texture indeed.

Powerful rock production here! Wow!
