Description:
This is my first offering of 2008. I made 3 tracks whilst watching 'Life of Brian' on New Years Eve.
This one is the 'angelic' offering.
I just used a couple or three plugins (the voices were done using Golden ASET with the Harmony add-on), and mixed and melded the lot to bring it to what you hear now.
All the Best to Everyone in 2008.

And this is my first comment of 08! &mdash 01/01/08 - 05:16:42 PM
Really beautiful soundbed. It starts out a bit abrupt, perhaps because it's cut from another part of your trilogy. This is very ethereal and ambient. I would love to hear a vocal float out of the mist and begin to sing a lovely melody, even on neutral syllables. [ Reply to This ]
Hi Kristyjo.... &mdash 01/02/08 - 08:08:26 AM
Happy New Year to you and your family.
The dodgy intro, and you're correct, was left in place due to oversight. I concentrated on the main body of the piece and then forgot to remove the startup part of my programming. There may be a new version, with added vocals, as you suggest, later this year. It's a great idea.
Thanks for listening and leaving excellent suggestions and kind comments.
Take care.

Did you choose the Gourd or Sandal? &mdash 01/01/08 - 09:10:46 PM
I loved that movie, deliciously tongue-in-cheek.
This is really intriguing music... it has a bit of Tangerine Dream/Vangelis, and definitely a sci-fi movie-soundtrack feel, almost Babylon-5-esque (well duh, Christopher Franke did the music for it.) Anyway, very nice ambient wafting.

Happy New Year.... &mdash 01/02/08 - 08:14:07 AM
Hi Drakonis....I suppose I'm a sandle man, as the proof of their less-than-immortal soul is there to see, and gourds can go rotten, like any old wine skins.
I'm not surprised you heard some Vangelis and Tangerine Dream... I have listened to loads of TG's old albums, and BR is one of my all time favourite films.
I hope 'intriguing' music is OK for you. Some of my stuff is an enigma to me, and I'm at the other end of the brain cells that mix and meld the stuff!!
Thanks for your kind and thoughtful comments. Always pleasing to hear something from you.
Take care.

Very nice piece &mdash 01/02/08 - 07:25:07 AM
I agree with Kristyjo that the beginning is a little sudden, but after that it works very well. Nice sounds, and interesting changes. I've said before that your work never disappoints, and here's another case in point. A great way to begin the new year. Nicely done. Peace, and a Happy New Year to you and yours. [ Reply to This ]

Thanks for stopping by.
The bad/wrong/fudged intro was part of the intro programming I had done. I just forgot to remove it before uploading.
Finishing off my music will have to become a top priority in 2008!!!
More haste less speed, as my father would say.
Take care.

ethereal .... &mdash 01/03/08 - 08:42:42 AM
yes, what a nice soundscape. Sounds not only like Vangelis, but much more like an old Pink Floyd theme...
Perhaps a wonderful e-guitar tune would be the cherry on the icecream...
Well done! Faved and downloaded.
Have a happy and creative new year!
