Fun
We're looking to get a broadcast quality mix. Please be critical about stereo spread, equalization and "overhead" levels.

I was attracted to Rick's soundtrack because of its dance beat, percussive change-ups and fun quirkiness. At first, I pictured the Beatles doing a track for Monty Python. Then I thought, "Sing a serious song about the pulse and crush of infatuation."

Yes
comments and suggestions please as we are willing and able to edit this track a lot more. In fact we will definitely be re-editing and so before we do please pick away.

okay
i listened to this a couple of weeks ago, and it stuck in my head really hard. as soon as I heard that clarinet it all came back. the only nit picking I would have is maybe a little more bottom end would be good. i am listening on the speakers in my office (which seem to usually have too much bass), and there is no bottom end. great work though guys.

bass interests...
I took out too much of the low end. My fault. It had too much bass in an earlier mix.

yeah
i remember that was a topic of discussion on your earlier mix. it's so hard; after exporting, the bass always sounds different.sometimes i wish i had a "sound" so that I could just use the same bass every time and not think about it at all. you guys are definitely headed in the right direction though.

Bass
Ok, you now have a much more transparent mix.

I'd the bass is lacking, but more than that it's uneven. Experiment with compressing the bass instrument, maybe putting a multiband compressor on the whole mix.

And it's still a great tune.

Victor.
