The Story of the Five Joaquins

Description
I should take no credit for this music as it is nothing more than a digest of the many Mariachi tunes I hear on the jukebox at my favorite (cheap) Mexican restaurant– Taqueria Mi Tierra, on West Warren in Detroit, owned by Jesús Gómez. Just which mariachi tunes, I can't say, because they all sound pretty much the same – although I love them all.

The theme of this piece is the history of old Southern California. Joaquin Murieta was a real person who is said to be the inspiration for the Zorro stories, although to the Anglos of the California Gold Rush, he was nothing more than a brigand and horse thief.

The sheet music for this piece is available for a modest fee at Bridges & Lights publishing, where you can watch the pages turn as the music plays.
