Description:
Just a vocal version, With Todd Kester playing both guitar parts,
I just added the vocals and a lame string bass line.
I then added an old record scratch, But just a touch. It is after all a new song. So the record isnt old yet!!!

record scratch aside, the song has a timeless feel. timeless likability.

So, the record scratch is appropriate, and adds a cinematic touch to it.

Excellent whistling!!!!

Its funny how some tell me it sounds country and others say it sounds bluesy.
Ive even had someone tell me it sounds like a folk tune. Heck now I dont know what genre to put it in.... haha

I like your vocals and the whistling is a real nice touch. Production sounds just right for this tune. Nice collab.

thanks but.... &mdash 01/27/08 - 09:25:00 AM

Great fun, whatever genre &mdash 01/31/08 - 10:22:04 AM
Very loose warm "down-home" feel. Great fun to listen to, kept me smiling all the way through. Of course, scratching the needle across the record like that insures that you'll never be able to play that record again! The whistling in the middle there was a great addition. Tightening this up some with your playing/singing/whistling would make this even better, but don't smooth it over too much, part of its charm is its "roughness".

Drakonis

I think this is fun and cool and very enjoyable. I feel like I found an old 78 LP of an old timey country band. You rock!

Amazing song! &mdash 02/14/08 - 04:51:09 PM
I really liked this song! the whistling is very cool.. should be longer! :-) Nice guitar solo as well... I didn't like much the old record sound though... but nothing that takes out the beauty of this blues! Keep on!

.. cleaning I would do would be at the beginning ... if you eliminate that dead air space ... you would eliminate the cracks that ensue ...... I like the OLD tune sound when the music starts .... it's just the beginning where it hurts a little .... before one knows what is about to come ....
