Nice flighty &mdash 01/06/08 - 06:09:56 AM
sounds you've got going here and those progressions are lovely and very descriptive. The beat carries us forward too and fits in very well. Excellent keyboard playing in front of that nice counter melody. Although it's not jazz it has a 'Jazz' feel. Really nice piece, regards M

you know, i almost genre'd this as NU-Jazz - but...

perhaps it's that walking acoustic bass?

i had a load of fun making this one!

thanks

Cool bassline... &mdash 01/06/08 - 04:28:17 PM
...and a very neat groove...

I've been just sitting around as the sun goes down, absentmindedly playing along...

thanks Ed

it's nice to hear it can be played along with - i haven't actually touched my guitar in quite a while now, but i do occasionally try to sequence something that "ought to" be playable on guitar - i always wonder if i'm only fooling myself - i guess i should dust off the old guitar and give it a try?

at work i have a lovely view of the highway interchange - but, i can also watch the hawks circling in the thermals over the roadways...

Nice groove &mdash 01/07/08 - 04:12:06 AM
I thought maybe more percussion instead of drums to begin with.

Lovely playing!

Cheers

i like &mdash 01/07/08 - 05:51:56 PM
very much. very 60's feeling to me. i can see it in a coming of age movie, the main character has finally figured out what's good for them. mostly happy, but a little touch of melancholy. but it's going to work out great.

yes. i like your description.

it's about flying way up high where you can see it all in perspective.

a transcending viewpoint.

thanks

on another fine posting. You really "fly" through the changes on this and the whole thing is a first class production
