I hear you my friend yet the language of your country escapes me and I'm just going to go with 'dank ye well' - that's kinda Dutch ... but I guess everything is. Be calm.

didn't expect that ending &mdash 01/12/08 - 10:09:34 AM
you always sound like you're having the greatest time doing your tunes. The production sounds a little different on this one, still BPJ but tighter. Is this a trend or an anomaly? Is that even how you spell anomaly?

Have you ever noticed how even the French poets are mysteriously silent on the subject of cheese?

Wovderful vibe. &mdash 01/12/08 - 10:42:05 AM
As per usual your pieces always surprise.Very good piece of music.Fine writing and songcrafting. This one has a certain 'shine' that really is different from your normal posts.Cannot put my finger on it but it for some reason feels like a result of some type of liberation of sorts.Cannot explain it but I most enjoyed it!

Blessings,

Liberation. &mdash 01/12/08 - 12:46:05 PM
2008 is gonna be great. I forecast a period of intense suffering followed by regeneration and a sustained state of transcendental calm approaching nirvana,in the afternoon showers followed by patchy fog. I'm trying to get unattatched from 'reality' and get hooked into the music that's the nearest I come to liberation at the moment. Hope it's going good for you buddy.

BPJ &mdash 01/12/08 - 11:11:53 AM

Tommy I like your avatar... &mdash 01/12/08 - 12:53:56 PM
...it's bold. Thanks for the comment Tom, I'm working on Ms K when I get a spare moment just doing little tweaks here and there to keep it fresh - should be 'finished' sometime this side of the millenium. May coolness be yours now and forever.

Cheese and The French Poets &mdash 01/12/08 - 12:34:49 PM
Those crazy French poets what about Rimbaud's 'Ode To A Ten Dollar Chunk Of Cheddar' where he rhymes fromage with quelle domage. It feels like everything I do is an anomaly Pablo. On this occasion I'm working with Danny Hurran aka The Singing Postman (which kinda compliments the fact that I'm The Thin White Postman). Dan's been working with Logic Pro for the last three years and seems pretty much clued up on the notorious intricacies of the software, In my opinion he's one of the best producers in England. Man I can't stop thinking about cheese.

Hi Harry mon jolie amie. &mdash 01/12/08 - 01:02:00 PM
I put your comment through a French translator and it came out as 'similar fly along the boulevard'. I'd guess that's a thumbs up as it were. It's always nice to hear from you Harold and I hope everything in your world is good.

neat &mdash 01/12/08 - 12:54:44 PM
Just a neat sound..the guitar solo sounded like a box guitar other than a
strat. Do you ever perform live?

Twanging. &mdash 01/12/08 - 01:16:18 PM
Man you always get me on the guitars and your usually not wrong. On this occasion I neglected to include a Crafter semi -acoustic in the hardware which I played into a Samson usb mic on account of the graphic eq on the guitar getting fried the last time I played live and that answers your question I guess. Keep on strummin' chief.

cool &mdash 01/12/08 - 05:37:39 PM
it's like a sleaazy new update on Serge Gainsbourg. I love how you have your own identifiable, catchy as hell sound. great job. merci.

It's like - sleazy's easy. &mdash 01/12/08 - 07:25:55 PM
Thanks for the comment man. I was checking out your page and you are totally prolific plus the content is fab. I've got 'Do It For Reasons' on my iPod and I'm definitely gonny have a go at that wee beauty. Any chance of the bpm and the chords? Nice one Mick.

You have &mdash 01/12/08 - 07:25:05 PM
a really good voice for recording and it always comes across so 'easy' sounding. The rhythms you come up with too are always very catchy and your guitars sound great, Always very listenable and this is no exception, but what happened to the end??

Yo Mo! &mdash 01/12/08 - 07:32:21 PM
Always good to have you 'stop by' as it were. Your cosmic vibe is always good and you've got a fine set of pipes honed in ye olde clubs n'pubs where indeed I've played many a tune and will do in ye time that cometh. I hope it's all cool with you Maurice and I wish you all the best for 2008 and 2009... and all subsequent dates.

Hi Lenners. &mdash 01/13/08 - 07:06:33 PM
I'm working on that ending but it's technical as I want it to be on precisely 3 minutes and also effective - I'll post the rework when it's done - be lucky.

another winner &mdash 01/15/08 - 08:43:31 AM
Always look forward to your tunes. This is another great upbeat one.

Sounds like your still working on finishing this one. Hopefully when you do, you get a bit more clarity on the vocals, because in parts they seem a bit muddied or not in sync. ( almost as if listening to someone who is not sure of the words, though it is probably just the mix..)

Don't take the criticism as a knock on the tune though, I think you have gem here.

Merci beaucoup, &mdash 01/15/08 - 09:07:12 AM
I award you a barrel of virtual Guiness for spotting the vocal instability. I actually sang this without benefit of a backing track - reason being - at that time there was no backing track. The vocal was grafted on later. I'm constantly surprised (although I'm not sure why) by the level of musical nous displayed by the artists here and you Damien are no exception - now how's about posting a new track last time I heard from you I believe you were weeping into your 'Nigerian Lager'.

Your tunes &mdash 01/15/08 - 10:38:53 AM
always warrant multiple listens. I like the perc on this and as always your vocals convey a sense of "cool". Now if only the moon would enter your sun house. Regards

Brew for you. &mdash 01/16/08 - 05:42:05 PM
Having a brew is a capital idea - I'd have one myself but I'm out of alcohol, boo- hoo - I'll have a spliff instead. Your avatar always makes me think of Kraftwerk - ein guile gruppen - meinen Deutsche ist nicht gute. Thanks for grooving with Johnny, aw the best Announcer.

Love the smoothness &mdash 01/17/08 - 10:50:32 PM
Like that logic feel in this tune, sounds like there is some nice equalization, the shaker sounds so spot on and fun. Very well place, everything sounds so well placed. Love the echoey feel of the lead, nice singing, bass.

A unique feel here. Quite enjoyable to hear. A surprise to me, not heard anything quite like this. It kind a cut out at the end, don't know if that was the player problem or not. But then started to read further down and realized that you already know about it. But keep going on this, lots of nice things.

Second one! &mdash 03/02/08 - 07:27:38 PM
OK this one shows me your style. After listening to Everlasting Love and this one I can really see your strength of composition in the real teasing transitions you work on your chords. BTW did you clip the ending so we would buy the song? Give me the itunes link and its done ( ;-> ).

Bravo!
Stephen
