Musical therapy of sorts.I don't normally listen or comment on such pieces but the title caught my eye.Can I ask what the title means...Bellevue?

Blessings,

bellevue - is "beautiful view" in Italian(?) or some Romance language.

it is also an allusion to meditation and lucid dreaming - finding a clear vision.

and finally, it hints at Bellevue Hospital (New York?) famous for its psycho ward.

thanks

is right. i keep looking at the silver mylar ball and picture it undulating while everything is reflected on it's surface, and it's like the song: it's like synthetic water (that will make sense only to me). excellent piece.

that silver egg is a real thing - i think it's in Chicago.

i liked its anomalous look - like it is not real at all.

that fit perfectly.

thanks

what is synthetic water - is it like Ice Nine?

With the build... &mdash 01/14/08 - 10:08:55 AM
...it reminds me of a modern day version of Ravel's "Bolero"...ala Stockhausen...really like this. Downloaded.

i made the original version of this May 16 2006 - it ran 33 minutes.

i remixed that one into this shorter version.

glad you enjoyed it!

thanks

I'm very &mdash 01/15/08 - 09:35:35 PM
sympathetic to this idea, and I'd happily stop in for the 33 minute version (if you're ever kind enough to post it).

Very enjoyable. Thank you.

Pretty cool! &mdash 01/18/08 - 03:08:17 PM
But 10 minutes is fine with me, not sure I'd have the patience for 33 ;-)

ah - but patience has nothing to do with it - it's supposed to be a static point in time and space. the really long version could be 3 days long... :-)

thanks for listening

Cool piece Bill &mdash 01/21/08 - 06:00:20 AM
reminded me a bit of Reich's Come Out - and some early Laurie Anderson pieces. Really well done.

I like it. Bellevue is French for 'beautiful view'. Good work.
