Description:
Influenced by a couple of Tom Petty songs, about moving on and taking your life back. Was intended to be a song to listen to while drive along the highway when you are feeling a bit down with your life.

Lyrics:

I don't think I heard the first version. not that it matters.

What an excellent song though. vocals & guitars really shine and a killer chorus.

Like this sound better. Are the vocals turned up? Sounds better. Have to compare, but I think this sounds more complete.

I could not work out how to get a louder mix out of my music without distorting it all. So what I did was... I imported the mixed down itunes file back into GB, duplicated the track, (so i had two identical track containing the mp3 file). turned both tracks up very sightly.... and thats it! a much fuller sound I think! I will re-do all my songs in that way in the near future.

sound really good to me, I'm playing on my little laptop speakers and it has good overall volume and balance of levels in the vocals and all instruments.

great clarity in your voice and you sing very well. The backing and guitars are good too and all seems balanced well to me. Good song and well written lyrics with a good arrangement.... it's plenty loud enough for me, regards m

Hey man great stuff! I've got to get you to add a guitar track to "True To Me" to polish that one off. You definitely know what you're doing with a guitar.

If you haven't you have to come to Washington State an hear Tom Petty play at the Gorge (a big outdoor ampitheater that sits on the edge of a big grand canyon looking backdrop...that's an amazing concert...anyway I hear his influence in your music.

song with great arrangement, vocals and musicianship. (I had to reduce the volume a bit as it was distorting in my headphones when loud.)

right after we'd been going back and forth about Tom Petty. Guess I'm playing all Petty on the ipod at work today.

Great sound on this... really like the build into the chorus. Sweet guitar solo- fit really well.

More than anything I love the lyrics! This is a great song to sing along with.

The vibe is killer... Nice mix, and GREAT guitar textures. Very good job with the vocals, very clear and strong, as well. I can definitely hear the Petty influence (he ROCKED the Super Bowl, btw)- but it's still very much your own, as well. I like the dynamic range of the song, too! Good job!
