Description:
This is our first "studio" recording of a song as Bridge Creek. Lisa wrote this tune, and it appears on her debut CD "Alive"
http://www.cdbaby.com/LisaParrish

David Weatherby on guitar, and Alan Crouch on Bass, with both jumping in on backing vocals.

Special thanks to Soundhound (Tony Grant), for great drumming to lay down a perfect rhythm, and a wealth of advice on production and mixing. It was a pleasure working with Tony.

Hope you enjoy this recording, and please send us feedback!! Thanks -- Alan

Lyrics:
You're a Taurus, I'm a Cancer
You think it over, I rush to answer
You like the mornings, I like the late night
I never worry if we don't see eye to eye

Chorus
I'm not gonna say that we're perfect
I'm not gonna say love is easy everyday
But waking up with you makes it worth it
I wouldn't want it any other way
I wouldn't want it any other way

You're a realist, I'm a dreamer
You keep me grounded, and I keep you a believer
You know when to hold me, I know when to walk away
We fit like a puzzle, there's new pieces everyday

Chorus

Bridge
Any other way just wouldn't be the same
I can't think of one thing I'd like to change

Chorus

WOW ...this is superb what a groovey song ..the
singing is just COOL .. very much the feel of
the classic thingy .the sound of the band with
the bass and drums just so tight and enjoyable
I ll listen to this again ..hey Alan and friends

fun stuff &mdash 01/14/08 - 10:16:10 AM
nice bouncy jazzy stuff, put a smile on my face. The music was well performed, singing was great. The chorus singing was a little fast and muddy, so it was harder to pick out the words (not too bad, but this is about the only thing I can come up with to critique!) Welcome to Macjams! Quite a talented bunch you have there!

Drakonis

I like the lyrics, too... &mdash 01/14/08 - 02:48:06 PM
...who wrote them.

You folks play live, right? Sounds like it...nice vibe and a band I'd come to see.

Great production and playing. Nice guitar work. Cool chord shifts with no break in the rhythm.

Cool lyrics! the chorus is infectious kinda reminds me of late Janis Joplin, nice melodies and harmonies all 'round, it has that country/rock feel to it, I really like the lightning quick delivery of lyrics, good going!

I forgot to answer earlier...

Lisa Parrish wrote the lyrics, music, and sings lead. She did a great job on this song - it is from her debut album, and we re-recorded it in Bridge Creek. I hope to get a few more of our new tunes posted in the coming month. Thanks for listening!
