country (105)dog (24)sweet thang (1)
Description:
This is the first demo I did when I got a ProTools system over ten years ago. It's a song about a middle aged man who finds himself a little young wild thang, only to realize that.......he's like the dog who loved to chase cars......he finally caught one, then doesn't know what to do with it!

Well Goodness Caroline! &mdash 01/13/08 - 06:33:09 PM
I'm glad you were so touched by this. Hey, that lil ole car you got ain't much bigger
than a cowboy boot. Do you have the pointed toe's or ropers?
I had a nice pair of line dancing Justins but, they were in the trunk of the Eldorado
when the little wild thang left (the dogs still here).

I'm really glad you liked it, thanks so much

protools &mdash 01/14/08 - 04:26:41 AM
- I use protools free from about 2000 B.C - youve got a relly proffesional sound here too.I dont get the copyright notice though - sony music? were you signed?

while country & western isnt really my cup of tea - unless its more on the gritty accoustic side - all the same - I know it would/has done/will go down a storm with lots of people and the keyboards/vocals are really well structured.

Cheers - RG

Hello RG &mdash 01/14/08 - 11:07:04 AM
I certainly didn't know they had computers in the stone age, but that explains the term "hard drive". I am actually using and learning logic now.
No I don't write for sony and never have but, they do administer my publishing outside the US. You can't drink tea and listen to country music anyhow.......has to be something a little stronger. This song is not very country in the traditional
sense but, I'm glad you liked some of it.

thanks RG for taking the time to listen and comment

you know the most downloaded song on this site is country and western?

"Pumps Your Blood" is classified as country and western &mdash 01/16/08 - 06:34:29 PM
but it appeared in an episode of the extremely popular "Happy Days" TV show, and is eminently google-able. It's also a pretty good version of a song for which there isn't a definitive version commercially available for free, and it's also an excellent educational aid for kids; I think it's for that reason it's been the most downloaded song, not because it's country-and-western. I don't think this song is very country-and-western either, especially in the Bob Wills sense, but it's a better than some stuff coming out of Nashville these days. The keys are a bit dated sounding, and sounded more like mid-90s Peter Gabriel than anything country, but once I got past them, and into the groovy feel coming in around the vocals, I really dug this. Another excellent song from the droopster!

Hey thanks &mdash 01/22/08 - 06:45:16 PM
for listening Jim. Who knows what country music is today? I'm glad you liked it once you got past the odd chord thing. That's actually mostly steel guitar.
It's funny some people love that part and some don't. Glad you got past it and listened to the whole song.
Thanks again for the listen Jim

Nice! &mdash 01/16/08 - 06:22:26 PM
Now this sounds quite professional!
Clean recordings and a great performance.
It doesn't hurt either that this is really catchy and just all-around fun.

I'll probably find myself humming this in the morning...

Yeah we will &mdash 01/22/08 - 06:54:52 PM
have you singing old beer drinking country songs before it's over Einar. You better be careful! Thanks for the compliments, I really do appreciate it.
I don't sing much anymore, though I did sing one a week or two back just to
post something here other than instrumental. I sure do like what you do Einar
you are very talented.

Actually I like all good music, that's why I'll keep checking your stuff.

Good look at midlife crisis &mdash 01/18/08 - 09:31:48 AM
Like they say "Be careful what you pray for- you might get it. " This song should be on every CW bar's jukebox. Very well written, sung, and arranged. Thank you for visiting my page- I hadn't known about yours.

Well Roxylee &mdash 01/22/08 - 07:05:28 PM
thanks so much. I'm glad you liked it. Yeah I never had this situation in my life
but I knew a few who did. Some guys hit their 40's and feel like they have to have a Harley or some young thing, but they both can be dangerous!
Thanks for taking time to listen and comment.

very nice &mdash 01/20/08 - 08:01:24 PM
I'm loving the synth-country thing you got going. It is without a doubt country, but the synth sounds give it an almost r&b feel or something. Very creative.

if this is Country or not? Most Country songs these days don't sound Country, All I know is that it sounds like great music to me and all round well/ professionally performed, regards M

Very pro ... &mdash 02/16/08 - 04:42:51 AM

.. I'm not a big country-western .. but this is that
very popular pop-country variant .. bit 80s on the some synth parts sounds .. but I see no reason why this
wouldn't be heard on radio .. and sell millions .. or
sell it to Billy-Ray or something .. 'tis done so
well.
