Mikki has a good song
There's a whiff of Bowie in this one. Both in the lyrics and
the music. Not bad at all. The chorus is great, the verses
i'd try to enhance, or differenciate in some small way.
Maybe adding a different spice for each verse; a tingling
cymbal, a single flute note... i don't know. Break the
repetative, and add surprise, there are a lot of Johnnies in
there... But all in all a great song that made in into my
iTunes.

My humble opinion.

Mikki Is The King
The concept of "The Passing By World" is brilliant. It's so temporary and ethereal. So hard to grasp. It is where all art and emotion lies.

You have a lot of great textures here. Bowie is a very good comparison. Too bad you don't have the microphone you want, because the vocals are sitting in the mix kind of oddly, and I think a better, fuller mic sound would help.

Bowie, wow!
Thank you Sir Algabatz and Sir Paul_T... Great
compliments to say the very least. I did not have Bowie in
mind but I can see it in there too. Of course, Bowie is
Bowie, and even though I may be a bit too young to have
him as a musical refrence or direct inspiration, his music
is very, very good, as is his various concepts. Being put in
the same room as him, is more than a great honor.

The problem (or not) with me and making music, is that I
run too fast. I have an inspiration - I start making the
song, often on a guitar, start recording and building,
writes the lyrics, record it...and that's it. I do all my songs
in one take. The next day, there's a new inspiration
waiting around the corner, it jumps out on me and says
"booo' and I am lost again.
I am really starting to get a handle of the technique of
recording though, and I feel that soon, I'll actually be able
to perhaps work on a song a little bit more. Also the
lyrics, they are written in one take, and although I really
have something I do wish to communicate, I feel I fall
short under the passion, rather than the hard work art
often comes with.

Finally, comments like yours, makes me look at myself
and my own music from a different perspective. This is all
for good, and I feel it is going to make a significant
difference.

I am exposed.

Great chorus
Love the clarity of the poem/lyrics. The storytelling. The
chorus reminds me of Jethro Tull, which never did enough
music that sounded like themselves and I am always left
wanting more. A great 70s chorus, and I really like that
you use your "accent" to your advantage. Little touches
are really nice, like the sound of the record ending, etc.
Another intriguing and solid track.
