Description:
A song with an old pop influence.
Lyrics:
[A]
you abandoned my soul
i try so hard to recover from
something doesn't feel alright
wherever i go, i feel blind
you took away my hope
i try so hard to retrieve it
nothing ever seem so fine
whatever i do, i feel blind
[B]
seems like i'm going to lose it all... (i feel blind)
seems like i'm going to lose it all...
ah~
~
seems like i'm going to give it up... (i feel blind)
seems like i'm going to give it up...
ah~

Yeah - your voice has become older and better like a good wine.
A very tasteful song. [ Reply to This ]

This is just lovely.Playful and simply stated, with a very strong XTC sound, not only in the vocal work and delivery, but the songcrafting and it's style.Screams XTC!Very well done. Thanks for making my morning with this offering.Much enjoyed.

Very nice &mdash 01/21/08 - 12:53:54 PM
I love your chords and chord progression here. Very accessible but still has a sort of unique element in it. Very original.
Your singing is also very good here. Possibly your best performance so far (which I've heard, anyway).
Very nicely done!

I really missed your voice and compositions.
Feels like pure emotion and true; and yet your voice has a skillful control. I adore the chord changes. They really kept me listening attentively.

this is, admittedly, not my favorite style of music or vocal delivery. that being said, your recording is very well done. i found it easy to listen to from start to finish, and can appreciate what you've accomplished here. this is definitely a well composed and moving piece of work.
also, i can agree with Godchaser's comparison to XTC (which is a good thing). if you're interested, you might want to check out their stuff circa "the big express" (1984) to present. it's mostly the compositions by colin moulding that sound similar to this, but entire albums "skylarking" and "nonsuch" might be worth checking out.
cheerz,
