Description:
An unwitting collaboration between FGAlxPx from Youtube (Alex) and me, maxruehl (Andy). The genesis of the project was this: Alex created a piece for bass and posted it as a response to my For Alex The Curly video (both on Youtube). Her video was called "LOL" - For Andy, the Sonorous. I decided to add some additional instrumentation.

Alex's original bass version can be found here:

Here's my "music video" version of this track:

The animations were created by yours truly in Vue 6 Infinite.

Thank you very much, Michael, for being the first to listen to and comment on my new track. I'm glad you felt my contribution augmented the bass track in interesting ways. I'm also pleased that you enjoyed the video, too. Thanks again for taking the time to watch/listen and comment.:)

Very, very cool... &mdash 01/24/08 - 10:33:54 PM
...both the music and the video. The sound's better on this site...but, of course: no visuals.

Bob's right - this *is* very, very cool... &mdash 01/31/08 - 12:25:15 AM
Beyond the great and bizarre creativity on display here, I am amazed by how you were able to create this soundtrack starting with only an improvized bass part. It seems almost impossible to me, and yet, there it is, and gracefully separated into distinct sections at that. Very impressive.

The visuals that accompany this are very effective in putting the audience in a place where they would want to take the journey with you. It's a cool and unique journey, and I'm glad I took it. Thanks for this.

nicely wrapped &mdash 02/01/08 - 07:48:54 AM
Quite an accomplishment to wrap all the backing music around the wacky bassline... hope she played to a click track, because trying to put the bass on the audio "rack" to stretch it into place would be an additional bunch of work. This works really well, and does have that zombie feel. Nice bunch of 3D fly-byes too, Vue 6 is very impressive looking (especially with those realistic volumetric clouds, and lens flare... very cool!) All I need is more playtoys!
ttfn,
Drakonis
