Description
This was a piece by evolvweb that I agreed to put some vocals and guitar onto. It's not a perfect mix, and maybe could do with something else, but I quite pleased with this so far.

Lyrics
With my face down in the dirt,
And people give nothing but hurt,
You always come back to me.

They tried to take away my heart,
Tried to tear my world apart,
You always stayed true to me.

In a place with out a light,
A world full of only night,
You make the sun shine on me.

When I fall and I’m out of sight,
And I’ve lost all my reasons to fight,
You always stay true to me.

So Glad
you liked it and it made your day. The guitar work was quite rough and I'm not 100% happy with the sound of it, but its still a nice piece. I certainly will think about doing something with you in the future.

Strong song
Like the Cold Play feel on this, you surprised me. Like when artist change it up.
Very well done brother. Love when the piano comes in. Really cool.
I can hear what you say about the mix, but it is pretty good as is.

Again
your comments are valued. This is a bit different to my usual stuff, as all the drums, piano, synth, clean guitar was done very well by evolvweb. It gave a new sound to play with.

sounds
good to me, great vocals and nice guitar licks

I'm not good at critiquing mix, but I think it's close. Did you add the bass? The bass and guitars sounded stronger in the mix than the keys. I also think that some more sustain at the end of the guitar solos would be nice, to carry them out a little further.

Nice song & collab.

Thanks.
The Bass was done by Evolvweb in the original piece. I know what you mean about the guitar, I had a hell of a lot of inteference for some reason so I had to fade it out sooner than I wanted to. I guess thats because I use GBs built in effects, and thats not ideal. I am itching to re-do the guitar actually!

strong
Simple, strong, no-nonsense and to the point.

Great vocal with message definitely delivered emphasized with that terrific guitar and that reliable piano bed.

Nice one.

The
Vocals on this are double tracked. (basically I did the one take and then just copied it to another track).
I then panned 1 slightly left, the other slightly right. I changed the reverb on one very slightly.
I also added some bass as I don't have a very good microphone, so that helps to compensate.
Thanks for listening. Adam

Listening on speakers - I really like the
production - a very "live in the studio" sound. Your guitar and vocals are excellent and the acoustic space of the piano is really nice. Great collab. Looking forward to hearing more.

Nicely done

.. mix may not be 'perfect' but that can always be fixed .. the song is what matters the most .. and this is a great passionate song... excellent vibe .. fine combination of talents .. one tip springs to mind: I use GB FXs for el. guitar all the time .. no problem .. do you have GBv3? have you tried using the 'gate' when recording distorted guitars in particular? (helps cut off unwanted hiss and crackle etc when you stop playing).

I keep
forgetting about using 'gate'. I will experiment with that next time.
Thanks for you comments.

Excellent combination
of skills. Nice tone to the guitar and the vocal is very pleasing; excellent writing. evolvweb' s bed supports the whole well, but you took it to a nice place.

Cheers,

Joe

Very nice
The temptation is always there to keep building and adding on to a song- so I'm really glad you didn't over-develop this. It works so well and build very nicely. A gorgeous sound bed, very tasty guitar licks, simple yet powerful lyrics and an honest vocal make this a very endearing song.

Outstanding job guys!

Glad
you like it. I always try not to add too much to my music, I always prefer to stick to a basic band sound. something that can be reproduced easily live.
Thanks for listening.

wow
What a great textured in your voice. I think in singing, your either born with it or your not. Your the first one. Nice rock backround, with the piano backup fitting nicely for the lead guitar and other avenues.

Nice!
Simple lyrics yet as heart-tugging as can be! Your unadorned vocals is dripping with sincerity. Vocals can be little more pro-sounding with a little more effort in the mixing maybe. The guitar-playing is wonderful. A real treat and a download for me!

Thank you.
My vocals can be improved I know, what i need to do is invest in a decent microphone. Unfortunately money is a bit tight at the moment.
Thanks for listening.
