Description
An attempt at creating an "ethnic" funk song. So it features congas and an attempt at North American flute, and the overall tone and groove of the song may be attributed to my almost nonstop listening to Talking Heads for the past few weeks. The loops were all pretty much done by me except for some of the drums. I also used the talking loop from a free Reason ReFill.

Cool wah-effect
I'd fan the production to get the mix more airy. I'd also
have the flute-section drums a bit more steady. Try using
a triangle or some other really crisp sound in a place or
two for surprise. I'd also stop the flute and then come
back to it, maybe alternate between the flute and the
wah-wah? Great stuff!

My humble opinion

Beatnik funk
Very cool groove and ideas. Would've liked it to go
somewhere beside the one groove, one chord, add some
energy and surprise, give the MIDI flute somewhere to go
of more interest.. But nice easy listening electro-jazz.
