Nuclear Power Plant

Description
This tune is a big experiment. These are all loops (surprise, surprise), but these loops are very different from the usual supply. EVERY single loop has been ripped from a commercial or somewhat underground band. I took some quick sounds and beats and threw them together.
So, to make sure proper credit is given, many thanks to:
NIN
Beastie Boys
Pig
Butthole Surfers
Prodigy
Sister Machine Gun
Golden Palominos
Hillside (Co-worker's band)

Yes, it's a copyright nightmare for sure, but this tune was not made to infringe on any artists' rights. It's only a super-amateur having fun and will NEVER make any money off of other's work.
This tune will be removed at the request of any of the artists listed, their lawyers, or MacJams admin.

loops from those folks definitely rock harder than the
loops from GB. sounds like the xperiment was a success
to me. great mix

Hey this is cool
I don't do much with loops outside of drums or bass for
my songs, but I must say I really like this. This so
interesting to listen to. It is put together very creatively.
And I loved that ending. At first I was thinking, uh oh,
and then you made me smile.

With Humble respect , Your majesty,
this is outrageously excellent. The way you've mixed and
created this is very very good. They're getting better and
better!

Your humble Loop colleague... heh heh

Thanks, SGF. This tune is kind of like a What if? song. It's a jigsaw puzzle finished by using the pieces of other songs and forcing them to fit together.
I humbly admit over and over again that the artists, themselves, are the real talents. I simply borrowed selected parts of their songs... :D---

Thanks to...
..._nderscore and Dadai as well. This tune was a bit of a pain because first I had to find parts of songs I liked. Then I had to cut out that part and edit it carefully so that it would sound right as a loop. A few of them were changed slightly but, admittedly, most were kept exactly the same. The ending is on a disc my coworker gave me. It truly sounds like something that would have been done by a commercial band, but until I can prove that, his band (Hillside) gets the credit.

I'm not sure if I really like the Prodigy bit there in the
middle. Otherwise I thought is was pretty cool.

It's nice to see people out there know who SMG and Pig
are, much less use them in a little experiment like this.

slammin'
I am always interested to hear what people do with
chunks of other people's tunes. The beat on this one
is large... kinda like a nuclear power plant! How
appropriate. Somehow, this sounds like a doofy
tune. Hmm... haven't put my finger on it yet, but the
way you arrange the loops is characteristic.

Last updated 5-4-2009: Doofy, aka The LAE, is now (unofficially) retired. After 5 years and 200+ tunes, and most importantly, a 14-month old, I figured it's time to hang it up, so to speak. While I'd not say I'll never release another tune, I ... [see more]
