As I hear ..... &mdash 01/26/08 - 11:59:51 PM
... hear the electronic "shoop shoop" ... I can see those little cut out paper dolls (you know the kind that you cut out and then you open the paper up and there are a whole lot of them all connected together) also doing a "shoop shoop" back and forth .... geez I should probably lay off prescription drugs huh .... this also has a slight underwater bubbly warbly tone to it ...

Huh... &mdash 01/27/08 - 12:38:57 AM
I used to play the Final Fantasy Games back on the Super Nintendo and Playstation. I flashed back for a second, because this is exactly the music that played during certain instances.... You HAVE to have been influenced by that, the resemblence is uncanny!

Interesting &mdash 01/27/08 - 12:53:53 AM
I have to say I have never heard the final fantasy music (the only music I know from any computer game is from Sonic The Hedgehog - on the old sega megadrive)
You will have to point me in the direction of the final fantasy music if it is available online...you made me curious

Thanks for stopping by and listening

Well... &mdash 01/27/08 - 01:47:36 AM
I knew the music was so popular they made soundtracks out of it, so I looked it up on itunes. theres a whole bunch of them. I listend to a couple of them, and the mellower ones have that same thematic element to them. You might enjoy some of them. The composer seems to be pretty popular. Some of them sound pretty videogamey, I don't know how I put the two together, but your song would probably fit on one of the soundtracks.....

Otherness &mdash 01/27/08 - 01:51:55 AM
this certainly is ... other ..... really kinda soothing, like test card music for the future age. Really nice mix . everything clear and spacey. Very delicate.

Test Card Music for the Future Age &mdash 01/27/08 - 08:54:48 AM
That is so evocative

I think that might be the title of one of my next pieces.

:-)

Thanks for tuning in Steve

( I wonder how many people understand the test card reference on macjams )

I was trying &mdash 01/27/08 - 11:14:39 AM
to think of a word for this and saw that Steve said 'delicate' - I think that is spot on. Lovely listen. Thanks.
Cheers
Len

Delicate it is then &mdash 01/29/08 - 12:28:52 AM
I think that is a good way of describing it

I too .. &mdash 01/27/08 - 03:20:54 PM

.. hear a Sega game-console sound .. but very nice, like in the very end credits scrolling, game completed, every level kinda way :o) .. I also hear mcboy's analogy .. if we perhaps added that Dr.Snuggles was driving .. I'll have a Mr.Whippy with a flake in it thanks Bryn ;o)

Of course this is all done in a theraputic and futuristic way and with the gentle caress that I've come to expect. The work on the sounds themselves is awesome.

Sweet.

Very nice &mdash 01/28/08 - 06:25:02 AM
Soft, wistful - nice sounds, and lovely changes. That percussion is great - just lulls you into a sense of calm. Great production -sounds great in the phones. Takes me to the future, somehow. Very nicely done. Peace.

never did the video game thing, so i might be missing something here. but i really like the song. the different flutes are cool, and i love that scratchy electronic sound you use for a rhythm. mice job Bryn.

Hi Michael &mdash 01/29/08 - 12:49:08 AM
I never did the video game either and the comparisons with computer game music are curiously bewildering to me...

The only reason I knew about Sonic The Hedgehog was cos my kids used to play it on the sega mega drive....and as for the other stuff...its all a big ?????

:-)

Thanks for stopping by and tuning in
