I wrote this about a woman I was attracted to but who did not yet know it. I envisaged me sitting at a KOTATSU (heated table in a tatami room) listening to her play her violin as the afternoon passed, the two of us eating mikans (mandarin oranges). She would be leaving soon, a factor in my not being sure if I sure proclaimed my feelings for her or not. I eventually told her, she was not all that impressed, but she liked the fact that I had written a song ABOUT her.
If you hear a Middle Eastern theme. that is what I was attempting. I recorded a version with me harmonizing along with myself (to be uploaded after this) where i think I put a different stress on the phrase. Compare "sit BY you" with sit DOWN by you. I am thinking it might be nice to alternatt the two. Also, the other version has a decidedly flamenco feel to it.
Looking for harmonies, arrangements, other voices, etc.
