Description:
This is a poem that I wrote that I asked a musician I met online named Erik Royce to put to music. Erik on guitar and vox, lyrics by me. Thanks for listening!

My love is like the sea
A soft and restless trance
Under a red night sky.
Her whisper fills my sail
Driven by an August moon
My fingers dance beneath her flowing veil.
Icebergs of regret
Saltier than tears
Cast numbing shadows
on her sodden offerings.
My love is like the sea
Aroused without warning
A sudden taunting tempest.
Her long arms of treachery
Taking more than she gives
The mother of all storms.
Turn ear from her song
She births empty shells
Left alone, with nothing
But the echo of the sea.

I really like the tone of your voice. The performance is appropriately laconic and worn...
Since it's written from a poem, it doesn't really have a regular song form, maybe that's why I like it so.
