Description
I wrote this song in April of 2007 for the Church I was currently employed at. I was the Youth Worship & Arts Coordinator for four years and was asked to write a theme worship song for the upcoming summer's Youth Missions.
Moments of You was written and recorded specifically for the middle and highschool students to learn and be able to play on their trips oversees. A few of my goals were to write a song that had an overall "easy" feel, so that anybody between 7th-12th grade could play it, and a very singable melody.
Most important to me were the lyrics, which I desired to flow as one long sentence and recreate the experience of being on a missions trip.
It's an acoustic song (so that students could play it anywhere) with hand percussion. To spice up the recording my young cousin played the violin tracks for me.
This is the first song I've had a deadline for, so the vocals are a bit rushed. Please excuse them :-)
