Description
This is an older tune I just re-recorded in Garageband. My friend wrote and originally recorded the vocals which are about an ex of mine. I took a crack at the vocals this time around. I'm not happy with the vocal sound yet (that's my weak spot). I always have fun playing it though.

Lyrics
An image – entering my thoughts
I long – for just one more embrace
Tan skin – and beckoning eyes
The fun – is more than just the chase
I felt – the passion in your words
I felt – the passion in your kiss
But where – is it all now?

Who am I, I don’t even know
No one to ask when you’re all alone

I close my eyes but still I see
Myriad thoughts piecing into me
Phantom visions all inside my head
I open my eyes and Nothing!

No word – of what I might have done
Cry out – no one to answer me
Was it – what I might’ve said
Distrust – is now all that I feel
This pain – bottled up inside
Somehow – needs to be released
Your image – won’t stop mocking me

Whatever happened to make you so cold
Emotions suffers as the layers unfold

I close my eyes but I know that I’ll still see you face
Ghost
*repeat

It won’t stop mocking me

Who am I and why am I here?
I close my mind to block out the fear

Ghost!

Awesome piece.
This is one fine metal tune.Lots of power and push.Solid songcrafting and songwriting.Vocals are fine in my ears dispite some distortion at times.I think I would double them at various times throughout the song, but still this is very good all the way around.Hope more folks get to hear this.FYI,one sure way is to comment on others posts.Much enjoyed.

Blessings,

Thanks
I actually tried to layer vocals in a few spots but couldn't get the mix right. After listening it to it for a while I know what you mean though. I'll probably remix with new vocals in the future.
Thanks for stopping by!

i love a good ghost story
really dig the tune. some good tight playing. Godchaser made a good point of doubling vocals. especially for the chorus.

Good work!

yeah
the chorus would be a good spot for more vox. Maybe the other track could be an octave off even. I'll try something out. Thanks for the comment man!

Rockin
Great tune and a great refrain. I kinda agree about the vox - you sing them well, but they seem kinda muddy in places, especially the lower parts. Doubling and maybe some eq tweaking should sort it out.

working on mix tones
I mostly use headphones when mixing. Maybe my speakers will help with hearing cleaner tones. Thanks for the positive words.

and excellently crafted and played. Great production. I found it impossible not to nod along with it. Love the lyrics.

Glad you liked it
Thanks Len. When I wrote this one I was looking for a riff that one could nod or groove to. Cool to hear it worked.
