Description:
I've had this track for a couple of years. My friends and family just love it and have asked me why I haven't put it up here. I haven't because I thought it was a bit of a sell out. Lavalamp SELLS OUT!
Anyway, it's just a fun ride and nothing more. I guess it's always good to mix it up and change genres.

The title is so because it's so.

Get down!

Song of Eurovision! &mdash 02/02/08 - 08:33:42 AM
Hey dave.. this is prett upbeat and quirky, but your vocal and the guitar helps give it some edge. Sounds like a sexy kinda Euro-disco track - i like the little horn break but not the kids!). This has rhythm to spare... i could see 'em shakin their booties in Ibiza to this!

50% like the kids and the others don't. Thanks for taking the time ER. Just something I made when I got GB.

who could guess it's you ? &mdash 02/02/08 - 11:32:52 AM
Fun song, indeed. I remember there was "a song for Europe" by the Band Denim: is it an hommage ?

No hommage &mdash 02/03/08 - 08:43:37 AM
Never heard of them. Just like mixing it up a bit. I don't serve one master.
Thanks CJ,
Dave

sells his soul for disco &mdash 02/02/08 - 12:14:37 PM
but that's okay. This is a really cool piece.

Really shows of your diversity and talent.

I got a kick out of the 007 guitar line that comes in here and there.

My soul cost only $100 &mdash 02/03/08 - 08:45:39 AM
Disco only paid $100 US for me. I'm really cheap.
Thanks Vic,

I like &mdash 02/02/08 - 04:23:18 PM
this 'Europe' type dance numbers... always interesting sounds and great for getting people dancing. Great mix of loops here, which I recognise. Love the heavier beats that come in two thirds through ( and here's me typing to the beat LOLOL), cheers M

Yeah &mdash 02/03/08 - 08:49:30 AM
You're right. This was me playing around with the loops on GB. Just having fun, that's all. I usually play rock and use only the drum loops because I don't have a drum set, and if I did, I'm mediocre at best, and I don't like dealing with flaky drummers, either,
Thanks for listening,
LL

I'm in the 50%..........

Well done. (For the record, I think those R&B Horn loops are the BEST! A real guilty pleasure, and endlessly, ridiculously cut-and-paste-able)

Cheers,

Did this during a very hot summer when we needed rain and I thought about how happy eveyone would be when it finally did.
Thanks.

Well shake my ta la la ..;o) &mdash 02/05/08 - 04:43:12 PM
.. a very fun departure from your comfort zone.

Mix is very good as a whole..if a little hot at times and clipping a little when the Bond-esque guitar comes in .. then badly at 2:12-2:20 (drums?).. something(s) are a little too wide spread for my taste pan wise on phones .. didn't notice that on monitors... I'd prefer
some more things nearfield.

I too am fond of that loop that comes in at 04:28..
and I prefer giggly kids at the end to cheering ones ..
perhaps if they were replaced with a slightly more mature crowd .. might indeed make this Ibiza ready.

Not really my genre - but like you it seems, I tend
to dabble...and you should never hesitate to try different styles etc.. not a 'sell out'... have you made any money? No .. see? there you go .. clear conscience :o)

Highly successful experiment I would say. Grand job.

Totally not my style, too &mdash 02/06/08 - 10:13:18 AM
Just wanted to note that this is not really my style as you know. I just made this up to get people moving and to learn the program a little better.
Glad you liked it.

YAAAAAAAAYYYYY!!! &mdash 02/06/08 - 10:13:09 AM
i liked this one. myself, i am a one-trick pony. it would be nice to be able to visit different genres from time to time. i mean, one never knows which genre could garner you the most attention. i really liked the bond-esque guitars. it did seem a little hot in my monitors, but i do write alot of metal, so i might have blown monitors... heh heh heh... favorited, and saved to file.

Actually gig..... &mdash 02/06/08 - 10:17:15 AM
I actually dig hard rock to this genre, but I think I look at myself as a writer than a performer and I like to play around with different genres if you know what I mean. I'll have to do a hard rock song soon.
