Description:
Close your windows and lock the door it's the dirty vicar of Boulton Moor.......I wrote this in 2003 after reading the story in a newspaper, It's about a real life vicar called Robin Everett who was tried and convicted of sexually abusing two young girls, one of them just eight years of age.One of the offences took place in his own church vestry. He was sentenced to four years in prison. Everett is from Boulton Moor in Derbyshire.
I feel so strongly about people like this, and believe the law doesn't come down on them nearly as heavily as it should.

The Dirty Vicar of Boulton Moor.
copyright. written June 2003
by Woofer3
chorus
Close your windows and lock the door-
It's the dirty vicar of Boulton Moor.
verse 1.
1.The reverend Everett's back in town,
Sniffing 'round the place.
You'd think with what the reverend's done -
He'd want to hide his face.
But, no - he seems quite proud of it,
He just ain't got no shame,
'Cause now we see he's gonna be tried on-
Some indecent claim.
chorus.
So close your windows and lock the door -
It's the dirty vicar of Boulton Moor.
verse 2.
Now they say that he's been chasing -
After girls as young as eight,
Though he denies it all outright.
The court has set the date.
Reverend Robin you maintain,
That none of this is true,
Your holiness, you've lost your way,
So what you gonna do ?
chorus.
SO close your windows and lock the door,
It's the dirty vicar of Boulton Moor - repeat.
verse3.
They posted him to Monserat to -
Preach the word abroad !
He told the congregation there -
To put faith in the Lord,
Be a Christian do what's right,
Don't incur his wrath,
He tells us to behave ourselves,
This soldier of the cloth.
Repeat Chorus -

Outstanding piece &mdash 02/05/08 - 09:02:43 PM
This is a wonderful piece that has almost a child's nursery rhyme feel to it. That is actually a good thing because of the odd juxtaposition between the subject matter and the comments you make about it and the music. A piece that comes to mind as very similar in the dichotomy between the music and the lyrics is the classic Bobby Darren hit "Mack the Knife".
Good stuff ... but you're right 4 years is not nearly long enough. [ Reply to This ]

I'm glad you like it, I know what I'd have done with Mr.Everett, though the human rights would have probably had something to say about it! - Our system of justice over here in the UK is just a joke.
There will be more on this subject from me, that's if I don't get kicked off here first!
Thanks for your comments. [ Reply to This ]

Hello Dee, thanks for listening - &mdash 04/15/08 - 11:27:18 AM
-this is the only way I can get at people like this. There is so much of this going on these days and I feel that it's a lot down to silly sentences handed out by toothless fools. Back in the 1950's the likes of Everett would have been dealt with in a much more severe way probably by someone like Lord chief justice Rayner Goddard, and that would have stopped his little gallop for sure.
Thanks for your kind comments,
John. [ Reply to This ]
