Description:
There's an old relic of the British Colonial Era in the middle of Sydney known as the Queen Victoria Building. It's been refurbished as a shopping centre-cum-tourist-trap now.
Once upon a time I was there with ths chick having cups of tea.
It's always about chicks.

Always About Chicks &mdash 02/05/08 - 08:16:59 AM
You said it brother.

Excellent songwriting. Tight vocals and great playing all over. Love the bass sound and the lead's insane.

I've downloaded this song.

Heh. It's kind of a bass-guitar-centric song in parts. Thanks for dropping in for a listen.

i suppose you chose this kinda brit-pop on purpose as a reference to the old english building?

Thanks man &mdash 02/17/08 - 01:09:33 AM
I've been meaning to come to this comment for a while. Yeah, I really dig the big brit bass thing with the mid-range going. Sort of a signature sound for a certain era of rock, so I try to get that in to certain tracks. But I never made that connection consciously so thanks for pointing it out. It's an interesting observation.

The hits keep on coming &mdash 04/18/08 - 10:06:06 AM
The beginnning/bkg tracks reminded me of early-ish XTC (circa Drums and Wires), but not in any aping sort of way. You're great, art, just need to remember to catch your stuff as you post it. Really great, fave-artist man.
