Interference/Goodbye

Description
Kind of a semi-repost. I wanted to write a short instrumental segue before the final song ('Goodbye') on a CD I'm recording right now, so I came up with this. It's based on the outro riff of that song. When it was finished I edited them together to see how they connected. This is the result.

Lyrics
Interference - Instrumental

Goodbye

There is nothing left to say
I need to get out of your way
If life is only what we make of it
Then you've got lots of it to make

You have nothing left to give
And you deserve better than this
But now there's nothing I can do for you
That won't make our lives hard to live

And I remember everything that we went through
And I remember everything I promised you
But time's caught up with me and taken that away
I'll never be with you again

You're so far away from me
There's nothing left that I can do
So I will hope and I will pray
That time will take good care of you

And I remember everything that we went through
Yes I remember all the things I promised you
But now I've gone and put those promises aside
I'll always love you, friend
Goodbye

The first
thing that strikes me is a great production sound. Everything panned exactly where they should be and separated nicely.
I really enjoyed this the first time and still do. There really is some fantastic music here at macjams at the moment and you are part of it.
Cheers
Len

it segued nicely into the song, which by the way is still such a great song with a great vocal performance. Hope everything goes well in the studio.

Niiiiice!
Love the intro section (although that kick drum sound is not really to my taste), and the segué into Goodbye works really well.
Like the vocals a lot - good words and a nice production. I especially like the way your voice and the heavy instrumentation work together - a really cool juxtaposition.
A lot of thought and time has gone into this - and it shows.

9 minutes of delight
Personally I like long tracks like this with well drawn out jams and instrumentals. The song I'm currently working on times out over 7 min!
Liked this one from start to finish. I'll definitely have to check out your CD when it's done.

Me like
You are brave not to get in a hurry and that is great. Just let the music flow if it needs to and that makes it. Love the sound, the instrumental parts get me thinking of some great Smashing Pumkins songs.
Cheers to you and your ancestors!
