Description:
Another track using new sound banks from Vanguard. Let me know what you think of this one, please. I have been wondering what else this needs. It seems to be missing something. I'm just not sure what it needs. Anyway, thanks a lot for coming by. Peace! Oh....as far as the genre goes....once again...my music never seems to match what MJ has to offer as far as genres go.

I almost want to sing on this &mdash 02/06/08 - 09:57:41 PM
how weird is that... slimy writhing lyrics swim in my brain listening to this, and want to slither out... this is a very cool sound bed (OK, almost all of your stuff is...) but this has some nice dark twisty passages that are begging for singing and whispers. I have some ideas. I also have no time, so don't hold your breath... but... hmmm.... You should work on this one more, prep an ending. I think this one needs some vox.
ttfn,
Drakonis

Singing Dragon? Cool! &mdash 02/07/08 - 10:21:12 AM
Hi Drak! It's nice to see you back here commenting and giving me good input again. :^) I agree that some slimy, writhing lyrics would suit this tune very well. I would love to hear some of your ideas. I realise that you have limited time, but maybe you could put your ideas here on this page, so that if anyone is interested in implementing those ideas on this track, they could do so. It's just an idea, but that sounds great. Thanks again, Eduard for your input. Much appreciated! Be well!

Great &mdash 02/07/08 - 06:33:09 AM
potential here. I feel there does need to be some vocals on it, maybe a gary numan kind of voice? I'd also put some rocking guitar in there somewhere, but thats just me!

modern problems &mdash 02/07/08 - 10:28:04 AM
I know Chevy would have loved jammin to it, riding behind the HASMAT truck!

I hear ya on the genres, they never seem to have all of them you need.

Industrial feel &mdash 02/07/08 - 11:12:21 AM
perfectly done ... it reminds of German Industrial/Electronica bands like "In strict confidence" or "Project Pitchfork. Yes, vox would be nice!

Alex &mdash 02/07/08 - 11:34:41 AM
Thanks for all of your kind words. I am a fan of German bands myself and I guess it shows sometimes in my own tracks. I have so many influences, that one could hear just about all of them in any one of my tracks, to be honest. I think my music is a huge mix of them, all combined into a one-man-band and his Mac. LOL Take good care, Alex! Thanks again!

BIG! &mdash 02/07/08 - 09:20:05 PM
Big sounds Rich - Eduard's slimy writhing lyrics (with vocals to match of course) would definitely work. Does sound somehow incomplete, but I think it's a vocal that I'm not hearing.
Walter (moorlandt) could have a great time on this I imagine - with his deeeeeep voice and maybe even some sax.
Just a thought.
It really is an interesting, driving sound bed you've got there though. Excellent production.
Best wishes from Oz!

as for anything it may/may not need....vocoder'ed vocals possibly, I dunno....but I am liking the thick bassline quite a bit
