Description:
A rock ballad about nostalgia, yearning and daydreaming. Based on a poem I wrote a while ago.

Lyrics:
YESTERDAY'S DICE
By©Bernardo Barreto
Alone at night
Rolling yesterday's dice.
The sounds are tears
As I wander between the air of water pipes
And the blind bodies of my cats.
I search for a woman so divine
Without pain or past
A woman of neon
A woman of thorn and sky.
As I keep rolling
Yesterday's dice.
(solo)
I sink under the sheets
The heat fills me up in the night
Of the first year of the century
As I keep rolling in my mind
Yesterday's dice.
I watch the moon and the skies
And I hear the sounds of a distant TV
The cats are sleeping.
Children songs announce is time to fly
Sleep and fly
Drawn into the ocean of a brand new night.
An dream about
Rolling yesterday's dice.

I love this one B, I don't recognise it, so it was a surprise and a nice one to boot, excellent lyrics (poem)

This is very spacey-cool. Good modern psychedelic tune. Vocal was extremely odd and absolutely perfect for this hypnotic tune. Lyrics are very, very interesting. [ Reply to This ]

Great song Barretok. Love the guitar that comes in and out - for some reason reminds me of Robbie Robertson. Such a clean sounding production too. Nice work!
All the best,

enjoyed it very much, shades of Captain Beefheart. Nice to see a familiar face as well, don't feel so homesick now.

Familiar faces &mdash 02/13/08 - 04:33:31 AM
Familiar faces are always good, they help you feel at home. On the other hand all the new faces, words and feedback have given me a new perspective. Thank you both.
