Description:
it seemed like a good idea at the time.
Lyrics:
When you see Dan tell him how come I ran
And left him at McCarthy's bar
Tell my friend Jim it won't happen again
And I'm sorry bout the front of his car
When you see Carmen tell her don't be alarmin'
I'll be out in a couple of years
Just tell Rosanne that I love her
And I always will
This 8 by 5 cell
seems to me just like hell
I got 36 months and a day
For smackin' some yuppy
who didn't know when to shut up
you know whiskey always does me that way
he was the son of a lawyer
he had a mushroom head haircut
driven a red 924
I got carried away
I bit off his ear
slammed his damn head in the door

How sweet is this.Love that steady swayin' groove. On the production side of things everything sounds good, not to mention the solid slide work on the guitar, confident vocal work and delivery, the female backup singing and very clever lyrically work.A wonderfully satisfyin' treat fer'the ears.Truely one of my favorites from you thus far.

Story type song and I love the performance from the guitar, the slide the excellent vocal and that lovely solo. The harmonies are great... sounding a bit Eagles..... and great song writing to go with it all, I loved this, regards M [ Reply to This ]
Thank you! &mdash 02/12/08 - 07:49:33 PM
This one's been kicking around for a while now. I'm glad I could share it with ya all. The slide guitar is this old generic square neck thing maybe from the 50's, sometime during the summer I think it got too hot and the top peeled up. But it stayed somewhat in tune and still sounds great so...
I'll fix it later.

A true masterpiece. Great guitar playing/recording/performing. I'm giving a 10's across the board, this deserve a lot of attention and I think it has some Alan Jackson atmosphere. Hats off, really amazing! Kudos.
Take Care
