Description:
A nice piece I recorded in May 2007.
Just an improvisation with associations to tripping toes.
Thanks to Ed Hannifin for coming up with a suitable song title. I associate LillNisse to a little tripping goblin. LillNisse was also the name I used as MJ-name before changing to Cori Ander.
Artwork by Johnny Katchoolik.

Thank you for your friendly greetings brother.
Yes I have been quite absent from MJ.
Have been engaging in live playing
and have found some great chaps to jam with,
hoping to be able to open a MJ page for us soon. [ Reply to This ]
Refreshment... &mdash 02/16/08 - 01:09:38 PM
for my ears from Curry.... how I love your guitar playing! This rings harmonically and with heart... so powerful in places, so delicate in others, and as per usual your technical precision on those strings is a wonder to me. I love those dissonant chords... very subversive! ;)
cheers,

I hear you play &mdash 02/16/08 - 01:09:50 PM
and almost want to quit playing the guitar... I won't of course, but I do have to renew my respect and admiration for those, like you, that have mastered this wonderful instrument.
A new masterpiece from your six string canvas. [ Reply to This ]

Welcome back my friend! &mdash 02/16/08 - 06:05:18 PM
Curry, it's a real joy to listen to this tune - I'd almost forgotten how beautifully you play, and the wonderfuly sounds you get when recording.
This has so much going for it - such subtle yet powerful playing of a basically simple song. The embellishments you make just work 100% of the time.
Simply one of the best posts on MJ I've heard this year!
Glad you're back - look forward to hearing the "band".

We were missing you &mdash 02/16/08 - 07:55:10 PM
and your awesome gift of Curry-Style guitar. This one is amazing... Such sound, such rich sound! Perfect title, too, Ed. Your improvs are wonderful, Johannes. [ Reply to This ]
It's good to be reminded... &mdash 02/16/08 - 08:38:07 PM
...that 'mastery' doesn't necessarily mean 'complicated'...
Here we have one man, two hands and one guitar--and not even your best guitar, I think...and correct me if I'm wrong, possibly not even a microphone...
There are no drums, no synths, no imaginative effects...
And what comes out is masterful, lively, improvisational and heartfelt music. Music that really does sound like something that some elemental spirit, some wood-sprite, would dance to...
I am very happy to see a tune of yours up here again, Johannes... Your music has been one of the best discoveries of a very rich time at MacJams for me...

Stills Waters... &mdash 02/16/08 - 08:46:58 PM
run through this little exercise, my friend.
But there's more than than just a little Stephen Stills in here... much more Johannes, methinks.
Glad to hear you're doing live gigging and jamming. It will make you so sharp you'll probably hurt somebody. LOL
Very well done. ;)

Ring out! &mdash 02/17/08 - 02:35:16 AM
Cori: Splendid performance. Guitar sounds very resonant but just a bit overdriven. Almost reminds me of the quieter sides of acousto-electric Jethro Tull and Led Zeppelin. [ Reply to This ]

You have done it again. Music like this is the reason they came up with the repeat button. I tend to wear stuff out when I love it and this one will be going all day. What a great sound.

my hero &mdash 02/19/08 - 08:10:55 AM
i took a road trip yesterday, and this came with me.
all my bumpy roads turned smooth.
every red light turned green.
every curving, winding road was filled with your gloriously clear notes - and some unexpected ones at that! johannes, i thank the gods for making you and your music. what a spectacular gift you are to this bleak and noisy world!
and i thank YOU,

Enjoy &mdash 02/20/08 - 11:16:45 AM
that russian type dance with the guitar, enjoy also and I think it is a real plus here, is the textured sound. It is almost as if it seems like there is a slight chorus effect. I think it is cool with those two note descending lines, mixed in with that airy sound makes for a very nice to hear recording. Like the subtle slides, the avante garde open string section is fun to hear. A very nice folk russian dance feel with a new age twist.
Thanks for sharing this delightful piece Curry.

Well-recorded &mdash 02/20/08 - 01:45:51 PM
I wish I could record acoustics as good as this. Also, the playing is outstanding. It kind of has a Jimmy Page-acoustic feel to it.
Great stuff.
I'm jealous, and that's the highest compliment one can get.

Nothing I love more than a real musician, and you my friend, are one of the best! Wow can you play! I simply love this!
I found myself singing a little ditty along to this. Not so much lyrics but an accompanying melody line.
This is gorgeous. Just gorgeous. Thank you.
