Description
This waltz was written for my wedding (many years ago). It was Renaissance theme'd with costumes, games and such. My musician friends played it on guitar and recorders, starting right after the "I do", and we waltzed into the crowd to launch the reception.

A Renaissance-themed wedding?
Funny, my wife and I did the same thing... except I didn't write any music to go along with it, just poems to read to each other and she designed/sewed our RenFaire outfits (that we still wear during fancy company parties sometimes... really turns heads in the sea of black cockail attire :-) David, glad I caught this as you transition to a new Nom du plume. Interesting to teleport the waltz back to Renaissance times, it seems to fit well there. There is also an almost ragtime sound to this as well in spots. Listening to this with real instruments during the wedding must have been incredibly romantic... love it! Thank you for the story too! I should send you the little web page of our wedding someday :-)

Lovely
My wife and I were married today exactly 16 years ago :-) Our friends played a waltz for us then, and today I played her your waltz. Thank you very much for sharing. We enjoyed your beautiful tune :-) :-) :-)

What a great story
Love that description! I was a videographer at a wedding in San Francisco and was impressed how music can add to a wedding. This really nice to hear and well done.
Thanks for sharing.

It is...
...nice to hear that other composers are or have written music for their own weddings or for others. Your waltz is some pleasant and uncomplicated, the perfect segue into the "after 'I do'" festivities.
Peace.
