Description
Another collab, featuring the unmistakable talents of some iComp buddies of mine. I sent an acoustic sketch to Nadie, and after a couple of online chats, the song quickly took shape to its final form. I just love Nadie's lyrics and vocal delivery on this one. Her friend Svet was nice enough to lay down a tasteful bassline, and Balok's piano/cello was the icing on the cake.

Lyrics
From a Darkened Room at the end of the stairway
Lies a box a box that holds my tears
I look inside and see my memories
and everything that I hold dear
From an empty chalice in a chapel
A lonely priest he breaks his bread
You'll find your comfort in religion
but only when your faith is dead
I have known these dark times
I have walked a lonely road
And I have cried a Million Tears
For all that live in Pain and Fear
From a tear stained pillow down on Broadway
the actress takes her final bow
The curtain won't be raised for her today
There'll be no encore from the crowd
I have known These dark times
I have walked a lonely road
And I have cried a Million tears
For all that live in pain and fear
Lies a box a box that holds my tears
I look inside and see my memories
and everything that I hold dear
From an empty chalice in a chapel
A lonely priest he breaks his bread
You'll find your comfort in religion
but only when your faith is dead
I have known these dark times
I have walked a lonely road
And I have cried a Million Tears
For all that live in Pain and Fear
From a tear stained pillow down on Broadway
the actress takes her final bow
The curtain won't be raised for her today
There'll be no encore from the crowd

And I have cried a Million tears

I get overwhelmed by a track. Its depth and lyrical strength. The single sparse elements combining to create something much greater in total.
I also get overwhelmed by the fact that I might miss something this good, simply because so much gets posted here, and it proves nearly impossible to hear it all.
