Description
This is a completely new arrangement made in Feb 08 of a track which was published in a first version in Aug 07 on icomp.
Vocal setting: Tomàs Luis de Victoria, Spanish composer (1548-1611)
Vocals, Synthwork, arrangement and mix: dirigent
On icomp I published several songs entitled "Stop the War". But I don't want to point at actual political issues or a specific war. So I continue this serial entitled "Stop War".
About "Stop War":
"Stop War" refers to an old text of Jesaja who is regarded as a prophet by Jews, Muslims and Christians: "He will judge between the nations and will settle disputes for many peoples. They will beat their swords into ploughshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war any more."

Lyrics
O vos omnes
qui transitis per viam
attendite et videte
si est dolor similis
sicut dolor meus
English translation of the Latin text:
Is it nothing to you,
all you who pass by?
Look around and see!
Is any suffering like my suffering
that was inflicted on me?
Taken from the "Lamentations of Jeremiah",
part of the Liturgy of the Holy Week of the Roman Catholic Church
